Hey guys I'm back been rolling the frs lately so the eclipse had a break, I was actually wondering has anyone tried the modern performance idle set screw? It replaces the Iac if so does it work well and how hard is it to set?

If you don't have a very large cams, and your profile says you don't, then just leave the stock system as is.

Crower 2 all motor cams are in now haven't thought about updating my apologies

You don't need it the stock is is fine as long as it's working properly. I have crower 2s and it idles perfect (IF TPS AND IA ARE GOOD)

I have one but not sure ill be using it since my ms3 that's being made will have it automatically set up. Shop thats making the custom ms3 for me said the screw works great but he was going to do one better with having the ms3 control it for me.

Sorry for the late reply but my tips and IAC tested fine as did every other sensor checked the entire harness still surging idle not sure why

I fixed this issue ,I bought a new car but I did keep the eclipse ,finally I figured the problem out the coolant temp sensor pigtail I pulled an OEM from a junk yard thecar iI pulled from had a body kit so I was unsure of the year but it was a 97 I recently discovered, I pulled one from a 96 and the problem has stopped and she's on point

I currently use the MPX manual IAC screw and it works as advertised. If you are currently building a Megasquirt (MS2 or MS3) it wouldn't be a bad idea to build the IAC circuit and allow MS to handle that for you.

I took the alternative approach using the manual IAC screw and adjusting my ignition timing at idle to smooth things out. When fully warm it idles steady at 1000-1100 RPM.
