I'm looking for an upgraded intake manifold and not sure what brand or throttle body I should go with. I have a 1995 GST and I'm putting on the MHI 20g. I have all the other bolt on parts but I plan on doing the internals and before i finish making the modifications for my fmic I wanted to know if it will change the location of the pipe also. I have the VSFR FMIC kit. I've heard that the 1g throttle body would be better. Right now I'm looking at the JM Fabrications "Street Version" Sheet Metal Intake Manifold.

Any suggestions or recommendations let me know. Thanks for the help in advance.

JMF street is a great SMIM. Cant go wrong with that one. But uhhhh, you have a 20g going on. So, I take it this is for when you upgrade the turbo/hot parts? Cause people have went deep into 600whp territory on stock 1g and 2g manifolds, just fyi.
It will sit a bit differently and may need to modify or change a coupler in the FMIC piping.

Save the money for another day. SMIMs are great and all but stock IMs can make tons of hp across the band. Maybe not as much up at the tip top but when you're running a 20g sized turbo you wont see much of a difference.

If you do get a SMIM, I agree with your choice. I'll leave it at that and let others weigh in.

Oh, what cams? Something pretty aggressive to compliment the top end along with the SMIM would be wise

This is the exact setup that I have, just need to install. I went with a 1g n/t throttle body. The vrsf throttle body flange will need to be cut off and replaced with a coupler. I'll chime in on all the details once completed (within the next week or two).

@boost97gst ok yeah I didn't know that the intake was able to hold that much and still be good. I'm actually just now upgrading the turbo to the 20g from the stock t25. Thanks for letting me know and that if I do decide to go for some more hp that i'll be on the right track. Also I plan on running the HKS 280's.

@c2ypt1c Yeah when I bought the kit I wasn't thinking about it. that was the one part that never came to mind until I realized the modifications/cuts I had to make so the piping would make it to the intercooler and how it could be affected with a different intake.

don't know if this helps I put a 1gtb on when I did arp headstuds and headgasket just gasket matched my intake obviously because you'd be switching to a 60mm could be a pain if you try and port it while still bolted to the car or you could go with an evo 3 intake then the 1g bolts right up so I've heard someone please correct if I'm wrong
