I would get a used subframe, strip it, undercoat it and never worry about it again. Buying a shell is a bit excessive IMO unless the rust on your car is absolutely not worth fixing. My GSX has rotted rocker panels, a quarter panel hole and a huge hole where the passenger side door jamb light switch is and I consider that light to medium in severity for new england cars as you very well know yourself being a fellow resident of this fine corner of the US known to cause massive automobile genocide haha.

Yes i have to get a new rear subframe strip it and paint it along with fixing my roker pannels and pass side floor board. Anyone got a cheap subframe they want gone?

You helped me make up my mind in repairing my rust issues! Lol

I got mine from miller import parts, i'm sure stevie miller has more of them.

will do, hey were your subframe mounts to the body did you have a hec of a time getting the nuts free. did you use a torch to heat them?

Get seafoam deep creep and spray the sh*t out of them, let it sit for awhile. I recently purchased a cordless impact gun and it has worked wonderfully. It'll allow you to hit the nuts a little at a time so you don't break any studs. So a combination of that with a breaker bar is what you'll need. Heat always helps too, get the torch out!

subframe is out. waiting for my new one to arive. holy rust!
