FIC recommended that I use Fuelab's 6-micron fiberglass filter with the E98 I'm using versus the 10-micron paper or 40-micron stainless filters. I had seemingly been running the 10-micron paper element for a couple years before I ended up having an injector clog up last month at the track causing a cylinder to go lean, blow up the headgasket, and I ended up going into the wall. I'll take FIC's recommendation.

^This. 40 micron stainless clogged FIC 1450 filter baskets. Switched to 10 fiberglass and so far so good.

Kels could you just tell us the micron filter element setup you are using again for some clarification especially since you use E85? Thanks!:thumb:

Wow and rumor has it your at the dyno right now I am hearing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gotta grab me a fuel lab filter too when I get the sd stuff done, and e 85 switch over, nice work looking for better numbers on the dyno from you.

Good info on the fuel filter. I've decided to go with RC 2200s and if my 450 isnt up to snuff im adding in a 044 inliine. That or sell it and go plain ol 4303(? think thats it) inline as LS suggested and be done with it for good.

I'm most interested on the 6an upgrade to be honest. I know that 6an isnt too much larger inside than stock, then again, you made over 700 frickin whp on stock lines so idk. I'm thinking 8an and stock return but if you have luck on the 6an then, again, i may change my plans. Great work man, real world dyno results over and over(and over and over hahaha). Thank you

However since I am using an Evo 8 computer I was thinking I might be able to use a relay and the high voltage fuel pump wire as it is activated when the computer sense load.

With the 450fp, 2150s.bap, and -6 line and 700whp+ I fail to see why you would not be good to go boost:idontknow:

Yes it's I install it in the intake manifold
Its important to use the switch so that the pump is not activated all the time, it has a tendency to overheat when used with a larger 450 pump. Also using it with the 450 pump you will have to increase the fuse size from the 40 amp that the pump came with to a 60 amp inline radio fuse the walbro 450 puts more load than a stock pump does on the boost.

Went to the dyno yesterday and 2 issues kept me from completing a full pass. First my stepper motor malfunctioned causing the car to overboost which lead to a misfire at 6000 rmp, second had a cracked sparkplug which I didn't find out until I got home. I installed the manual boost controller back on the car and fixed the spark plug and all is good Will go back to the dyno when new stepper motor get here. But 800 is in sight. redline bc272s blue line bc276s stay tuned once more!

Thanks as per your instructions I replaced the fuse and placed the switch in the intake manifold. I have crower 272 mivec cams advance on intake starts at 2500 RPM what settings would you recommend for exhaust cam. My car idles like a rotary

Kel: Is your 6an ran with the stock to 6an converter( like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/DSM-Fuel-Li...Parts_Accessories&hash=item3a91a06413&vxp=mtr ) or is it welded on the hanger to start out 6 an?
Its ran from the sending unit using a bulkhead fitting. I had to modify it big time because the fwd unit barely have enough room from the top of the fuel pump to the bottom of the sending unit. lots of cutting was involve.

Good luck on your quest for 800!
Thanks.

Go to the top of this page, there is a little hyperlink type thing that says watch, it's on the right side by where it says recent discussions.

Hoooo-eeee Got it. Thanks!

Now what I have to do is remember to turn off my audio volume before I come into this forum. Otherwise my speakers will blast me out with something like, "When you have a hole in your neck, don't face the shower head". Yikes. I almost always have my amp turned on - listen to music a lot. Do you know of a way to permanently turn off the volume on that ad column?

Yes that's great man persistence pays off that's why I hang around for so long hard work always pays off. Set a goal and go for it, everything else is irrelevant.
