I'm no newbie, just have been away for a little bit...

I still see 20g's for sale, but they're all TD05. I had a Td06h-20g MHI turbo, web streets, 660s, vpc/afc setup, and loved it to death. Now I'm building a 92 awd, and I'd like a similar feel to what I had. Is the FP Green the (now) closest turbo to that ?

Last time I tuned, all we had to go on was AFR/EGT and TMOlog, LOL.

I'm running a TD06sl2 20g with the downfiring 3in inlet cover and absolutely love it. Full boost by 3300rpm and it pulls hard all the way to my 7.5k redline. A guy in town has the same turbo and made 385awhp 349tq on Pure Tuning's Mustang Dyno with Kelford 272's and e85 at 26psi.

I bought mine off a guy who works for MAPerformance. It was originally a Subaru turbo that he rebuilt with MHI internals then ported and balanced. My friend bought his from Turbo Lab I believe.

I was going to say the same thing, if its a 20g you really liked then might as well get another again !

TD06 turbines still exist, so do TD06H's....what we've found in the past 10 years is you don't necessarily need that much turbine flow to support a compressor as small as a 20G thanks to the introduction of E85 and other high-quality racing fuels that weren't available in 2004. The TD06SL2 turbine, originally a non-MHI wheel, seems to have replaced the TD06 and/or clipped TD05H in terms of spool and flow.

A billet TD06SL2 20G that I built new from scratch per customer order made 437whp @ 33psi on English Racing's dyno a few weeks ago. The owner backed this up by going 11.1 with a best MPH of 134 this past weekend...so there's definitely a heap of potential with the TD06SL2 turbine.

Obviously Justin is the man to listen to. However I'll chip in that anymore - you can find basic FP Greens for $400 or so now and then, and I think they're the perfect balance between the little 16g and moving up to something like a GT35R.
My FPgreen on my old laser made full boost around 3800 (25psi) and was setup for 3 years with a best run of 11.7@123mph spinning through 1st on junk street tires. Car was easily a 10.90's car when I sold it on 26/27psi just never got to the track on it.

That said I'm on a 16g on my car now, and still loving it as it has been enough to get me into the mid 11's and has been reliable thus far. If I upgrade any time soon it'll definitely probably be to another FPGreen.
