So I went looking today for interior parts. Being the genius I am and knowing that import parts are a premium around here while any thing that says dodge chrysler ford of chevy is a dime a dozen I decided to check this yard that only does domestics for Talons and Sebrings/Stratus. I just happed to pick up a door handle off of a car next to the stratus I was pulling interior junk and thought that looks familar.

It was an exact match in shape and color to my car. Replaced the missing door handle with one that was allready paint matched.

The have the same interior door panels as well and same dash. Might be worth adding to the thread in guides that the Avengers share parts as well.

The doors are longer on avengers..Also the center console/arm rest is longer..Same everything else, even the infinity system/amp....Some swap the armrest cause it's more comfertable..Also the avengers and what not share the same front seats (drivers power seat)..I'm not sure if the back seats are the same or not..

An avenger front end swap throws people off..An eclipse swap on avenger is sicker than hell..

I'm not sure if the rears have been done or not yet..Dsm tails on an avenger, kill me now..That's sex on wheels..

Some argue that the sebring and avenger share the same motors(420a), parts, and such..That they are too dsm's..The ford colt gt thing also has a 6 bolt..

Your dsm is also infact a domestic..

Avengers could definently be a sleeper in my area. No one knows about them. I was just thinking

FYI the mirrors look the same, but are actually different you can't use the Avenger mirror on a Eclipse/Talon.The carpet is longer too.
The lower center console is different, but the rest of the interior is good.

I know you can put an eclipse dashboard in a avenger

And the 2.5 v6 is the vr4 engine for the 3 and 4g galants right. Anyone have the info to back that up?

I do know someone who did a 7 bolt swap here in my area in an avenger...And he's not even a young guy, or a mits fan...I'm kinda waiting on my wifes avenger to die, so I can swap my other 6 bolt in there...

Hey guys if you dont mind me asking, what year avengers share these parts? I know I can count out the new new ones but still what years? Im looking for some leather seats for the Talon and this helps increase my odds for them

I would say 95-99 Avengers maybe 2000 (not sure)
And don't forget to look for Sebring leather seats! (same years)
That will help your odds of finding leather seats even better!

It is a variant. It's "technically" a 6g73 due to the smaller bore (2.5L), but same block. Now, the 24v SOHC heads on the 2.5 are the same on the newer SOHC 24V 3.0L


My talon currently has wiper linkage, sunroof assembly, and various little interior odds and ends from an avenger. The Avenger/Sebring (coupe) share the same body code as the talon/eclipse. "FJ". From what I understand, the wheelbase was stretched, but really they are the same car in most respects.

I am buying an Avenger off my uncle this week. It needs a hood and fenders. What body parts will/may work? What year DSM's? I think I might take the time to try and do some of the Eclipse to Avenger swap on as many things as possible. I love the Avenger's look just as much as an Eclipse or Talon.

EDIT: Just did alot of searching. I seen the hoods, front bumpers, and fenders are interchangable? If I were to do the headlight conversion, I would need to modify it a bit? I also seen some sexy pictures

There not interchangeable. They are swappable, you could put the 2g eclipse front end on the avenger or vice wersa but it is not a direct bolt down. Some modificiation is required.

The interior parts and the door handles are exactly the same and directly swapable.

The door is swappable if you put the eclipse glass in it if your putting it on the eclipse and vice versa.

I think I will give it a try. Im really just looking for the front end swap with the 2g bumper, hood, and fenders on the Avenger.

The front seats are the same..Not sure the rear seats are the same tho, since the eclipse has a hatch, and the Avenger having a trunk..

Nope the Avenger hood is too long.

theres a few eclipse/talons that have done the avenger front conversion, but its not "bolt on". requires rad core support modding. then everything will bold on, but its not mix and match, its all avenger front or nothing.
