Has anyone ever experienced TopLine lifters being a little to tall or short and getting stuck open? The car has BC 272's and it seems like the lifters are holding valves open. After cranking the car the exhaust mani is cold and the intake is warm. They were bled properly and bled again after 20 miles. The car won't fire after checking all sensors and mechanical. nothing wrong but it seems these lifters "lash adjusters" are not going down instead of not going up like most fail. Any ideas? LOL

Never had problems with them. When you stick the paper clip or whatever in them and they collapse they should be easily be "pumped" with your fingers. Then after being installed they'll tick for a bit and adjust themselves

How bad is it? Im sure you have next to no compression on the cylinder in question(or multiple cylinders). What about valve tip height?

The compression is fine but it hisses out real fast and doesn't hold on the tester. Once again it seems like it is hissing inside the intake. We have bled these lifters in the car once before. Are they just junk and not going down?

Just kinda hard for me to believe that these Made in USA lash adjusters from TopLine are simply junk when they looked and acted fine when we put them in the rebuilt head.

This is your first post where you mention a rebuilt head.

Probably when the seats were cut, the tip of the valves were not or not enough, have the stem height checked to be sure, it is not probable that all the lifters would be bad.

Just thinking some of the lifters are bad. They didn't have to regrind valves or anything since it was such a low mile head (the original one) I'll get some help over here within the week and check the lifters to keep yall posted.
