Right, so, technically most of everything I planned for this build is done, but because I know I'm going to keep going until I blow the motor (and then probably still keep going) I thought it was worth putting a thread together.

I started off with a cheap 93 fwd talon Es, non turbo, got the car cheap from a friend and decided why not slap a turbo in there....

Initially I just wanted it to be something I could take to the track and beat the crap out of, but, the more I worked on it the more it grew on me, so I ended up selling my other car and kept this as my daily. After reading through a few other build threads I figured I'd go simple and use mostly stock turbo stuff.

For now all I've done is thrown in the 14b turbo, a probably overkill front mount intercooler, knockoff greddy bov, 3 inch gm maf with a maf translator, turbo back exhaust, removed the non functioning ac, removed all rear interior, added hood pins just because I had a set. For added safety of my engine, as it is the non turbo motor, I added an aem wideband and a boost gauge.

I also grabbed a set of evo 8 recaros that I hope to make fit sometime soon.

I'll keep adding to this as I do more work, but for now it looks like I really need a stronger clutch and better tires. I'm having trouble adding pictures at the moment so I'll add those and further details in a bit,

Where do u get the coolent from for the turbo and oil feed for the bearings since you have a nt block like me LOL I have everything to returbo my plymouthlaser rs t that had the turbo taken out but what did u need ? I'm getting turbo pistons also

wow took forever to get back on here, As for the turbo oil feed i used the stock location (left side of head) the nt has the feed but its filled with a plug bolt instead of a banjo bolt. as for coolant I just ordered a turbo model waterpipe and thermostat housing to solve that issue as simply as possible. And i did swap in an ECU from a turbo model as well as add the knock sensor, im actually having some issues at the moment with intermittent problems with my a/f ratio and idle. Earlier in the build when I had just gotten the car running i could HEAR the idle actuator on the throttle body going absolutely nuts, thinking this may be the issue. Hoping to source an actuator to test this theory.

Since i screwed up adding the pictures, heres a couple i managed to find.

An Update to this, I blew the motor, piston rings went bye bye

I always see people talking about how it it isn't worth putting a turbo on a N/T motor and how we should all just buy factory turbo cars (as if we are all made of money!), so I really admire your build and effort! Sorry it didn't work out this time, good luck on the rebuild!

I know its been a while, but I'm putting this back together now. Going 16g and dsmlink this time. Looking for a new motor to work from...
