I recently ran into a predicament, where is needed to install my holset small h1c out of necessity, ( timing belt snapped and destroyed my head, also my small 16 had sever shaft play and sounded like it was dragging when shutting off vehicle) I needed vehicle to get to work a this time its my only vehicle, my daily I am trying to put back on the road. right now I am running a 90 oil filter housing with oil cooler delete, and also running my holset from oil filter housing with a -4 feed line, and -10 drain., the housing is ported and smaller spring is installed into relief, and holset is unrestricted at this time, again out of necessity for the vehicle, I am occasionally getting little clouds of blue smoke I am guessing being oil pushed out of shaft seals? I don't know the exact oil press. I believe its getting to much oil at this point. I have a some what pieced together restrictor that I can run. also not really getting into boost much if at all right now du to the smoke, and also due to not really wanting to install the holset at that time. and not wanting to really destroy my holset either. I also have a might max OFH ported also. could the fact that I am not running a cooler delete hinder me some and give me slightly higher oil press, also no BS but have oil squirters.
