So I recently bought a DC Sports strut bar (n/t version) for my spyder, that requires the battery to be lowered or moved (mine was already low enough), and modification to the MDP location. I know what all that entails and this post is not about that. However I've read about how the MDP is only related to the EGR. My real inquiry is this... I've done emissions delete on my current spyder, with 2G head and 6 bolt short block, twice in the past. I know for sure I did everything properly, I.e... removed all associated vacation lines, EGR valve and solenoid, charcoal canister and properly blocked and sealed the EGR ports on the manifold. After all this, I experienced a fluctuating idle both times that never stabilized. So if I do think the delete again, do I need to also remove the MDP and block the port, or does it even matter and my idle is associated to something else? I unplugged the MDP a little while ago just to see if my CEL would illuminate while driving and throw a code. I got the P1400 code, but no CEL. I'm fine with this since I k kw my light works, it's been on plenty of times for other issues and comes on like normal upon start ups. So with these conditions, should I be fine with removing the sensor and blocking the port so I can install the strut bar?
Edit: I didn't remove the EGR solenoid, but left it plugged in and removed the vacation line from it.
