I've been searching for the answer but can't find anything. Maybe I'm just not searching correctly. I had a bad valve so I took the head off. I ended up getting a scrap evo viii head with everything but cams and rockers. My question is are evo intake valves an upgrade for dsm's? I know the exhaust valves are but can't find any info on intake valves. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: my apologies in advance if this is in the wrong section.

A set a valves are the same temper wise except intake bigger for flow and exhaust thicker for heat..

The EVO exhaust valves aren't thicker, they are sodium filled so they are lighter and dissipate heat better than the solid dsm exhaust valves. And the EVO intake valves are the same as the DSM intake valves.

Ok. Thank you guys for the info. I guess I'll just pick a set of intake valves that looks to be in the best condition and go with those. Yay budget head build!

I respectfully disagree, all of the intake valves are the same. Part # MD127840 1g,2g,evo1-9 use them

I would refer you to the above measurements, Valve sizes are different..
