Hi. Does anyone know where I could find a male connector for the female TPS harness connector wiring?

I need it in order to make an adapter for a Ford TPS with GM connector to the 1g TPS harness female connector wiring. I don't want to cut off the wiring harness in case this thing doesn't work or I need to go back to a 1g DSM TPS. So basically making a plug and play for the Ford TPS.

when you say 1G TPS, do you mean 1990 style with the 4 pins arranged in a 2x2 square, or the 1991- where the 4 pins are arranged in a straight line?

The 1990 one is easy. The later one MIGHT have a connector available. AMP/Tyco may have one like that.

Thanks for responding. Yes. I meant 91-94. I'm trying to make a custom harness adapter for the Ford TPS in order to use a Ford throttle body and I don't want to cut or mess with the TPS female wiring harness.

I've been looking for some form of male connector that will mate to the female connector but don't seem to find any.

No luck in any of the places I am familiar with.

A lot of cheap DSMers will cut a 1G MAF apart to solder the connector onto a 2G MAF pigtail to make a plug in adapter. Even though there is a connector available.

In this case, I'd suggest going the cheap route, and do something similar with the TPS.

It seems like I don't have any other choice. I was just trying to make a clean and plug and play for the Ford tps. This way people would know about and have a clean and reversible way of using a Ford tps and if it doesn't work, then simply go back to the stock tps. This is something that some of the vendors should offer.
Brads, Thanks for taking your time in trying to help me out here.

It costs thousands to tool up a new connector. It isn't cheap to do it right. When you factor in that you could sell literally tens of these connectors, because many people would gripe if it was more than the $5 it cost to get a junkyard TPS, then it just doesn't make sense to make a connector like that.

To give a relevant example: The CAS is readily available, brand new, and how many tech articles are on tuners showing how to hack other connectors to fit, or worse how to use no connector and just use the terminals? And why are they there? To save a few bucks instead of doing it right.

If you do the method of using the connector from the TPS, make sure to somehow secure the connector body, so that it isn't flopping around. That inline connector will add a good bit of unsupported weight to the harness. And if you don't secure it, it can cause issues down the road.

Yeah, I have taken the floppingness into consideration. Thanks
