Been googling and looking through the forums a bit looking for information about a non-turbo (f5m22 i think) transmission rebuild for my 94 talon. I, for the life of me, can't seem to find anything about non-turbo dsm transmissions. I looked around jacks, and shep, but all of the options they have are for turbo trans...
I'm pretty sure I'll need a rebuild soon as the car is leaking out from the trans and the gears are starting to grind as I'm shifting. But I'm not a car guy and with college getting ready to start back up and being fall semester I need my car to get back and forth to class, as i've been relying on my motorcycle as my DD all summer.I'd attempt to do it myself, as long as I could find a step by step guide with an experienced personal mechanic I'm sure the two of us would be able to figure it out, since I have a spare non working transmission that broke last year..
If anyone could point me in the direction of how to go about getting a rebuild, either from a specialized place; or the other option, that would be appreciated. Or if I'm just S.O.L, just let me know.
Wish I would have known there were a crap load more support for turbo's vs n/t when I bought the car...><
