GSXftw, how do you like the XTD clutch and flywheel? I keep reading mixed reviews and noticed you're running one, so I thought I'd ask. Love the work you're doing, I'm a huge fan of the 1Gb front end!

Thanks man!! I like it a lot! I got a new disk for when it goes back together, Id estimate I put down mid 400s on it (49 lbs/min, 1.6 sec 70-90mph) and she holds strong, and daily driving it isnt too bad at all, you just have to get used to it.

Well some of the bigger things are happening on this, theyre just mostly buying the last bit of things, which are by far the most expensive, and stacking the parts on the shelf and waiting unfortunately. Been waiting on the machine shop for a while... The top end guy was luckily not as backed up so my head was able to get all worked over and assembled. Total that was done was a resurface, valve guides on all 16, 3 angle valve job on existing seats, order keepers,drill for bigger 6 bolt head studs, and assemble the head, all for under $400! $390 to be exact, cant complain too hard but I wish the bottom end would hurry up.

Got a full trans rebuild kit

Got a call from the machine shop, they started on the bottom end, went to bore it and found the cylinders were already 20 over! So blew down my shortblock that originally came in the car and had it to them in an hour

Sucks I did all the oil galley mods on the other block for nothing but I shouldve mic'd it and checked the bores I guess. More to come!

A couple of the cam caps didnt flow the way I wanted to, so they got lightly honed with a brake cylinder hone

Gettin real close now, the last of the engine brackets and valve cover are at the powdercoaters, should be putting the turbo on tonight

Thanks man! Glad to see someones still reading this haha. Its close I swear, everythings checked out, rings .020/.022, bearings are all .0015, doin the crank scraper now, then its just turbo and accessories :)

I knew the turbo inlet didnt line up perfectly and the last time this was going it was just a trial period, but it was pretty laggy, Im gonna take my time and do a flange thatll work as a porting plate, since I dont wanna compromise the turbine housing with how far out of whack the manifold is. Can see about a eighth inch step on the sides

Turbo is on with the flange, all port matched, I THINK I AM DONE PORT MATCHING FINALLY.
