I need help figuring out how to redo my intercooler piping. Also anywhere I can go and get it. Like right now. Right now I have a big boost leak and sure it's boost leak. Anyone have to help with my piping will go to exhaust shop and have him weld up and makes some bends. I have 16g turbo and same front mount ic.

WILL REALLY APPRECIATE PICTURES OF HOW YOU ANGLED LOOPED YOUR PIPES. ALSO ANY ALTERNATIVE TO ALUMINUM INSTEAD OF SILICONE AND STAINLESS STEEL??

Pipes upside down i belive i have similar setup from greddy on my 2g
Ok gotcha I have that 180degree from right side of intercooler. Is there a way to not have the 180 and bring it from otherside. I took pipes off and they just won't fit back right so getting new pieces, plus welding as much I can less chance of boost leak

S
If u want i can help you i live close to you i seen your car on craigslist
Super appreciated headed to an exhaust shop in the am. To get some of welded if possible Or just use exhaust pipe and welded. I'm mocking up how I want it tonight.

It looks like you have a cheap ebay intercooler with cheap pipes. That's your problem. As seen by the dent on the open pipe and the pipe inside the blue coupler in the picture, you are crushing the pipes with the clamps, causing them to bend, deform, disturb airflow and leak...plus they don't look like they are bead rolled on the end, which is what helps seal the couplers on good piping.

Yeah correct correct correct. I got new clamps. I probably bent pipes tighting too much on cheap clamps. I heard stainless steel and exhaust pipe works well. So probably going with the exhaust pipe. I'm measuring and mocking it up tonight. Then exhaust shop in am.

You can run that long pipe Cut it up and go around core support if u have a side oil filter housing (ofh) that pipe should fit i ran 2 intercooler setups like that on my 1gs or just ditch the ebay kit and buy a vrsf it was the best intercooler setup ive had not saying its the best but its a great deal good bang for your buck super short pipes too 4 couplers thats it :)

Make sure that you either bead roll the ends of weld a bead around it so that the couplers don't slide off. No matter how tight you get the clamps they will blow off.

I check that kit out will certainly be buying that one exactly what I'm looking for and on a budget. Now on the beads machine shop will cover that right

Machine shop? I doubt any machine shop is going to be doing this type of work. You might be able to get it done at an exhaust shop, but you also might not find one that offers it. This is one of these things that exhaust shops doesn't even know about because they weld all their connections and don't use couplers.

I'll definitely be doing hair spray.
My next question is a j pipe actually work it. It's a extra 55$ with the vr kit
