Stock throttle body and cruise system. I see no real benefit of trying to retrofit a dbw system in the car. I understand all of the chatted about "advantages", I just don't see the juice being worth the squeeze.
Hi guys,I'm getting ready to wire in my Elite 1000 ecu into my 2g and am trying to keep my factory cruise control. From the wiring schematics in the FSM, it looks like the Auto Cruise Module requires throttle position, closed throttle position, speed sensor input and a cruise input. I've...
For the surge tank, I designed a plate and had it plasma cut at the local steel supply and then put in stainless rivnuts for mounting. I had my buddy machine the tops and bottoms and parted the body of the tank in my lathe. Then to make sure the fittings were where they needed to be, I 3d...
Another project that I was working on and finally completed was my fuel system. I'm using a Fuelab lift pump, Fuelab filters, and a Fuelab H/E fuel pump. They claim it is a very efficient pump drawing just 9A at full load. We'll see how it works.First I modified the fuel pump hanger to accept...
Wow, I can't believe it has almost been a year. I've been slowly chipping away at the car, but life for sure gets in the way. Either way, I'm quite motivated as of late because spring is right around the corner. I stripped the entire under side of the car, removed all undercoating, wire wheeled...
I find this interesting. Unfortunately the injector plug on that cylinder doesn't clip in the best and it has the worst routing for the wiring. I'll focus on that tonight.
Hi guys,I have a car in my garage right now that has a problem running on 3 cylinders. The car used to have megasquirt engine management and the problem started on that. When it first started, it was random. Since then, we've installed ecmlink and the problem is now constant.Trying to fix...
It's been a little bit since I updated. Progress has been slow, but I am chipping away little by little. I was recently able to finish the brake lines for the whole car. I'm really satisfied with how they turned out. Matching all of the little bends from the factory lines was an absolute...
So I did have the thought of putting two returns from the surge tank back to the stock tank. Put them at different heights, so the first one would go to the factory return location and use the factory siphon. The second higher fitting would return to the drivers side pickup location. So if the...
So it's been a while since I drilled mine out, but my understanding is as follows. You're drilling the main drain out to ~1/8" depending on who you ask. The reason for it not being larger is because you'll lose the venturi effect.

This is the way I mounted mine. I read on the Haltech forums that the ideal location is on the pressure side of your return line which is between the rail and the regulator. Mounting it after could cause some cavitation.
