It sucks that the screw backed out. I rebuilt my throttle body and staked the 2 new screws so that they do not back out, along with using locktite. I had a hard time taking out the factory screws and noticed that they were staked from mitsu.
I would say it’s your injectors. The same happened to me, I had old fic 950’s. After years of the car sitting, I took the injectors to be cleaned, but with all the ethanol in fuel these days, the fuel just ruined the injectors just sitting in there. So I bought new same exact injectors. Same...
I still have a FP3065. Right now I have a old DNP manifold that probably has a crack in it or 2? Will this turbo fit the 3065 and clear the block?? also would you guys put a bung in the #1 runner for a egt probe? thanks!!
So after all these years of having this car, I built it for drag racing, but being overseas for a few years, and getting older, I think I am done with building this car. It has sat for over a decade in my garage getting worked on when I have time. I finally got it registered here in Nevada where...
i have been using Amsoil for a while. Been reading up on Motul 300v, it seems to be great oil but more for racing. For a car that will be driven once in a while what’s the opinion on using it? I know that it doesn’t have the detergents as a street daily driver oil. I Plan on changing the oil...
One thing to do I would recommend, is to replace the timing belt and the associated components. Who knows when it was last done? If you need help on that, pm me. I live by south point. Good luck with your build!
You are supposed to take out the screw at the power supply. You will then put one of the probes on the circle part, that is gold colored around where the screw sits when installed. I guarantee you will see different numbers, closer to what the specifications the manual tells you. Just try that...
If you get access to a factory manual on the web, you can do a test to check the continuity of both senders. By raising the float to the top, and bottom, and see what your readings are. The ground for both senders are under the drivers seat. You can check the continuity there as well, From the...
Honestly, you are going to have to replace the fuel line with a/n line at this point. Good luck trying to find a gsx at a junk yard, with the fuel line still intact. You can look online at stm and find the required hardware to complete that task.Good luck!
