420A 420a turbo, megasquirt Dyno results

It's very easy to crack the ring lands on the stock pistons. A compression test would be a good idea. It's was very apparent when my first motor let go. It ran fine, but smoked like hell if you gave it any boost.

420A Wrapping headers for heat reduction

Make sure to use the silicon spray to coat the wrap. If you don't it will tend to frey anytime you touch it or rub against it working on the car.

    Silvr's boosted 420a

Its challenging for sure. Its even harder to look ahead at where you want to go when the headlights aren't lighting up that area. The lot has a few lights, but could use a few more. I'll be pulling the pan soon and probably the rod caps just to check on the bearings, but the reality is, this has...

    Silvr's boosted 420a

The long overdue update. The 2020 season was pretty much a bust for me. Between events being cancelled and my schedule, I was only able to make it out to 1 more event late in the summer. I am sitting in grid and start the car to let it warm back up to prepare for my first run.. and the...

    420A Radiator Options

I still run a factory style rad and have no cooling issues. A good set of fans is key. Don't overthink it, if the factory radiator was working fine before. Just put another one in it. No one offers an all aluminum radiation for the 420a that I know of.

    420A Rear main seal

The manual says to install the seal dry. I have always followed this and never had any issues

420A Coolant leak from the back of the motor on the drivers side

The heater hoses are back there. There is no throttle body coolant circuit. Pull the intake off and you should be able to see what's going on.

2G Who tunes Hahn turbo set up on 420a? NJ

I'm sure you can find someone to tune it if you have the software for that unit. It should be pretty straight forward for a tuner.

2G Who tunes Hahn turbo set up on 420a? NJ

What is your fuel setup like? Hahn use to sell the portfueler kit. It was an additional 4 injections that added the extra fuel. Do you have that installed? Are you using a FMU instead? The factory ECU can not be tuned.

    Fidanza Cam Gears

I can see timing marks in the first image. Looks like that are either very dirty or almost rubbed off

    They look legit to me.

    2G drag rims, offset?

A higher offset pushes the wheel closer to the body. A +27 offset will have the wheel poking out some. Depending on the tire size you want to run, you may have some rubbing on the fenders. I don't see those wheel tucking up in the fenders.

    Evil hose clamps

    You need a bigger size.

    2G Compression Numbers

No, it will be fine. I would not be concerned one bit.

    2G Compression Numbers

You need to run the compression test when the motor is hot. If that cylinder is still lower than the others. You can add a tiny amount of oil to the cylinder to see if the numbers go up. That would indicate worn rings. It's not something I would be overly concerned with. I do a compression check...
