Grind the surface of the bracket that faces the driver's side. This will compensate for how far the alternator moves outward. I did this and stopped the rubbing
The materials with the XTD clutches are poor quality. It truly is worth your time to go with Southbend clutches or another reputable brand. It's a pain to disassemble everything to install a clutch. STD, NOT XTD
I replaced my clutch in 2010 with a "stage 3" XTD clutch. The same thing happened to me. When I removed it a few months later, the clutch disk was was was peeled back where the spring contact points were. I went with Southbend clutches and haven't had a problem since then.

The problem sill remains with the Evo IX setup. I have been thinking about just making a template does a backing plate that another caliper can mount to. I have seen some different setups on many other makes. This summer I will do it, because I'm loaded in nursing school right now. I don't even...
Diagnostic you ever complete this install? I've been doing a lot of research and am just leaning towards additional cable Wilwood calipers for for emergency brakes with my Brembos.
I have looked into a hydraulic ebrake, but many manufacturers recommend them not to be used as an actual parking/emergency brake for extended periods of time. I even did research in line locks and came up with the same information. It appears to be a bleeding-by issue. I even considered a...
I just finished reading every post. Great job on the information guys! I have a 1gb, and I have the Evo X Brembos. Is there any further information on the Brembo rear dual caliper for an emergency brake? I would like some information on a possible bracket. This is the route that I want to...
