Got my intercooler piping all plumbed back up and started doing boost leak testing, Found several leaks from my manifold so i decided to go ahead and upgrade.
Found a nice Evo 3 IM with 1G TB.
Ordered the boosted fab coil mount for it.
Went with the torque solutions gasket. While the...
Thank you , I really like that thread. My initial thought was this connector was spliced into the wrong wiring since i seem to have some of that going on from the previous owner.
Here is an example, I believe this is for the 1G CAS, but I'm unsure what the other 2 wires are that's not...
I may have found my answer here https://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/2g-throttle-body-elbow-on-1g.299711/What im thinking is i need to order a custom elbow when i move to a 1g TB. Something like this https://stmtuned.com/products/stm-dsm-stainless-throttle-body-elbow?variant=40341796489It...
Took off the elbow, both the elbow and inside of my TB reads 53mm.
Im currently looking for a EVO 3 IM and 1g TB to upgrade to. My question is would i swap out elbows to a 60mm to match the 1g TB?
Doing boost leak testing this week, i happened to notice my elbow has 60 on it. Its my assumption i have a stock 2g intake mani and TB. Can anyone confirm the 60 on this elbow would mean its a 60mm elbow? If it is, I assume this isnt good to match up with a 52mm TB and mani if thats what i...
I ended up removing the line that runs to the OFH so i didnt have to fight it.
Looks like after i got the turbo on i wont have much room at all the squeeze the steel line back where it went.
Can i replace this steel line with a hose or steel braded line of some sort and re-route?
Made some progress today, got the 20g mounted up. Had to beat the crap out of the water pipe, then I ended up removing the water line that feeds the oil filter housing in order to get the new turbo on. I need to figure out a solution for that line.My new 20g oil return line bolt holes are...
Working on installing my 20g, i have pounded on my water pipe quite a bit. It seems the line directly below it may be my main issue in squeezing the turbo on. What is this line for? How do you go about moving it?
Ya i was not nice to my head.. Ended up breaking the stud off, luckily some of it is sticking out.Looks like Bigcert only offers them in 11.7mm or 16.2mm in length.
