Thanks for the input. I have had the clutch safety switch disconnected all along so i'm good there. I am going to test the starter circuit this afternoon...I have the dash half way out for other reasons so I have access to everything right now. I agree they are unrelated issues and I confirmed...
I know this thread is old, but I am experiencing this exact same problem to the T. I have an AEM, if I ground the fuel pump control (red and white wire) pin at the main relay the fuel pump primes. Now out of no where the starter won't even engage. I have run all of the exact same tests as the OP...
Let me add that the only reason I am going down this path is that with the AEM the pump has always primed at key on. If it was stock ECU I know it doesn't prime until the engine turns over. I guess I could jump power to the pump and see if it starts up. I just need to get some thicker...
Alright guys, I have been going at this for a week now off and on where I can fit it in with my crazy work schedule. I still have more testing I can do, but I thought why not get some opinions from the experts. I have an AEM v1, a Walbro 450, and a fuel pump rewire kit. Everything has been fine...
Thanks for the replies! I have a set of red laser tails and center section, but I haven't done anything with them yet. I have such a laundry list of things to take care of that it has had to fall down in priority. Right now I am just getting into my clutch...it is dragging/not disengaging at...
I missed this reply before I made the switch. I put bpr7es gapped at .028 and so far it feels much better than the Iridiums. The reason I hesitated to put the br7es in is because I read that they require more timing because the the flame front starts slightly higher in the cylinder (I haven't...
Alright, I have my GSX back and I love it! Of course, now the fun begins...swapping suspension from the roller, tracking down some dual piston calipers, odds and ends on the exterior, and a phantom oil leak that I need to track down. I am also having to maintain a high idle (2000 rpm) since I...
What a long journey this has been, but it is actually finally finished. Just a few final odds and ends....catch can, coolant overflow etc. The car made 428whp at 19psi. I am sure we could turn it up a little more, but this is a safe amount of power for this build until I regenerate some funds...
Thanks for the info about the Fluidampr! Also, my Jacks 2.2 has the 4 spider center diff upgrade :)I definitely won't launch it often and when/if I do it won't be 5k rpm and dump the clutch...i'll be interested to see how this 6 puck feels. I am sure it is going to bite pretty hard but...
The time is finally near! The build is almost complete and ready for the dyno. I went with the 6262 journal for now. Also did decide to get the Magnus v3 cast. I am running a Jacks 2.2 trans with a carbon fiber driveshaft. I am sticking with the 1000cc injectors which will be okay with pump gas...
Since I have a 91, I'm gonna need to snag some dual pistons. I would imagine they are fairly easy to find. My build is getting really close to "complete"...we are just waiting on a carbon driveshaft and besides that everything is good to go and get it on the dyno. Then I need to swap over some...
