2G Using stock GSX banjo bolt on 3000GT VR4 brake caliper?

Yep, still am. I made posted pics of the installation on my build sheet sometime ago. I also later installed 3kgt rear calipers with the 284mm disc but kept the stock 2g GSX master cylinder. One of the best upgrades and it was fairly budget-y.

    Mitsubishi 'Itsabitshiti' Eclipse

I highly suggest you look into fitting a front mount Pat, look at some of my custom intake pipe setup if you want to get a better idea of how it will look. The 42 16G is fine but 16 psi on it will be waaay more than 10 psi on the T25, and the T25 already heat soaks the side mount if you stay on...

    Mitsubishi 'Itsabitshiti' Eclipse

You got "annoyed" by the screamer pipe?!?! Bro. come on, it's the BEST sound mod you can do to a DSM and it frees up a bit more horsepower :D.I can't see from the pic, but is that a "42" or "47" casting on the 16g? You're gonna have to ditch the stock side mount cooler now and run a front mount.

    ECUflash 1999 2G DSM ECU in 1G

What do you mean by patch harness? You need to look at both a 1G GSX pinout and a 1999 pinout then configure all the pins in the right places. Keep in mind a 2G ecu will want to see a 2G knock sensor signal. Also the Cam angle sensors are different between a 1G and 2G, which would mean you would...

    FMIC piping

I don't know how to weld, but what I do is I just measure everything up and use stencils to get a very good idea of how the piping will run. What I do is I model up the piping and curved sections in CAD (Solidworks) following the dimensions given on the website I'm purchasing the pipes off. I...

    Greetings from Germany

Greetings and congrats! Looks like you are no stranger to the DSMs.That '97 GSX AUTOMATIC looks like a very very good find. I can only imagine how much euros the Austrian wanted for it. Take good care of it and do some good mods.

    "Lucky" Sevens Talon

Well, all good things come to an end. I had to sell the Talon, my dream car #2, to a good friend of mine. "Had" maybe isn't the best word, but let's say the most practical and right decision was to do it this way and now. Didn't want to part with it, but also didn't want to let it keep rotting...

    "Lucky" Sevens Talon

Wow it's been almost 2 years yet again from my last update. Kind of goes to show how suddenly things start to... stop breaking.... Once you replace or repair everything!! Happy to say I haven't blown up the engine yet and I've learned how to tune with ECMlink both for MAF and Speed Density. It...

General Flat-shifting (NoLiftToShiftin') potentially causing detonation and fuel-air mixture getting ignited prematurely?

I just checked some of my logs where I was shifting thru gears with NLTS and yes we do use fuel cut to maintain the target RPMs between shifts, however it cuts fuel then re-adds to keep the motor revved so the effect is the same. Even if you cut spark and running wasted spark as is our system...

General Flat-shifting (NoLiftToShiftin') potentially causing detonation and fuel-air mixture getting ignited prematurely?

Had the pleasure of speaking to possibly the best/biggest tuner in my country this weekend at our national JapFest. We touched upon a few subjects including flat shifting. Now, I wasn't certain if we were talking in general or for specific applications, but his general opinion was that...

So what are you working on that’s NOT your DSM?

Talon's been on the back burner even with its rusty rockers. I should be shot for not taking care of it first and wasting all my money on this piece of shit ass car but I took up a big project and I ain't stopping 'till it's done. Full on resto-mod on this R33 GTST Skyline is underway. I got...

What did you do to your DSM today?

Just came back from 6 month abroad filming street view, good ole Talon fired right up no questions axed and brought me home. Gave her some fresh Motul fifteen dubya fiddy and a good rip. Honestly coming from a 2022 car and jumping in an old car like a DSM is quite the jarring experience but hwen...

2G Talk some sense into me, stick with my e316G or upgrade to an HX35

Thanks for your input Kevin. Those are some interesting results. Just based on the dyno graph alone it looks like the 35 is doing better in all aspects compared to a 20G which is arguably the bigger brother of the 16G. And when I load your log and mine side to side and compare, if we assume all...

2G Talk some sense into me, stick with my e316G or upgrade to an HX35

Howdy folks,Disclaimers: Last good 3rd gear pull log is attached to this thread and my profile is up to date.I've lived with the 16G for awhile now and I do like it on my daily driver. The car gets beat on all year round and I've tuned it to run reliably on 91 octane equivalent. I don't have...

Sincere thanks to all the DSMtuners members

Tell you, if it wasn't for this forum and all the awesome people sharing their knowledge and ideas and how-tos, I would never have managed to maintain and modify my DSM for this long. Been part of this community for nearly 10 years already and it's been an amazing platform to learn, share...
