Do your plugs have oil on them or is it like black sute. If it's oil then I'd say fried rings. Do a compression text. If it's low put like a cap full of oil and let it sit a little, and redo the test. Post back your results
I've finally got around to ripping more things off the car to replace and I have not been able to figure out with this water pipe is. It has a small pinhole and I need it fixed asap. Could I just run a rubber line all the way down from the thermostat instead of the hard line?
I hate wiring and after seeing this headache I rather not mess it up with my lack of electrical background. Haha. So since it's at a friends house were gonna tow it to his dads job (he's a mechanic) and he's going to sort it out. I honestly don't know how the hell the car didn't catch fire.
Alright so i went ahead and start looking at the wiring and I am horrified on why someone would do this...... When i looked at the car everything was great, but i didnt think to look up under the steering wheel. Theres gonna be a lot of pictures so hopefully someone can help me figure out what...
The car will randomly work then act up like I'll push the clutch in and it will die and not even want to start it'll just turn over. Then randomly start working again. I do have another clean EPROM ecu that I found in the trunk all bubble wrapped up, can I just put that chip in to that one? I...
wiring has to be bad. I do have spark since i sprayed starting fluid and it wanted to start i know i have spark. Would having the fuel pump wired to the car alarm do these things? im planning on ripping it out since its acting up and randomly locking the doors and what not. Also after doing a...
Last guy had it set up if you turn the key it starts the pump and then a push button to turn the motor over:ohdamn:. And yes I do have a pressure Guage. It was working and the car died on me
Alright so I have to update my profile but the car is a 1991 Tsi. Car is basically stock for other than the fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator. I can start the pump and hear is run but when I go to turn the car on it just turns over and the pressure drops. It's not turning the pump on when...
I'm actually probably going to keep the n/a and fix her up unless I find someone who would like her. I've always wanted a 1g I personally aren't much of a fan of 2gs unless it looks right. The Tsi is actually one of the cars I've always wanted.
Did a compression test and the numbers came out to around 152-156 throughout the cylinders. Put a dp on it and should be having fun next week when I pay the rest off. :hellyeah:
Thanks And yes ive been reading this site for awhile now. And no no fist pumping here. I actually might be on the show lol. The girl deana actually live less then 5 minutes from my house ( partied with her and snookie about 4 years ago haha). Besides that. I've used this site many of times and...
Yea, i still have to check the compression. I gave it a nice look over, like cv joints, axles, bearings, the motor, and what not. I also took it for a test drive, and it drove very nice, handled amazing, no smoke at all. Transfer case along with the transmission were redone. The engines gunked...
Hey I'm Kyle, been reading through this site for awhile and thought it was about time to start posting. I currently have a 91 talon n/a. I've been looking for awhile to pick up a Tsi or Gsx havent really seen much.
