ECMlink 1G ECMLINK V3 timing help

Adjustable timing lights are not accurate when used with the waste spark ignition system on DSMs. The adjustable timing light must be set to zero and the 5 degree mark on the timing cover is used. This will be difficult to do without a timing cover.

ECMlink My CrankingFuelAdj seems to not be working at all

Without a log it's hard to tell but the only thing I can think of is the lack of a "keystroke" signal. Without this signal, "crankingfueladj" will not work. The "keystroke" signal is 12 volts from starter relay to ECU pin #108 on a 1G or pin # 71 on a 2G only while the engine is cranking...

    2G Key not cranking

If it's not the clutch position switch or the starter relay under the dash there is 1 wire connector between the starter harness and the main harness. it's located behind and below the thermostat housing. THis wire carries the start signal from the starter relay to the starter. Make sure it's...

2G "Limp Mode" Like symptom EDIT: Injector Circuit Malfunction

This sounds like you're getting a P0300 "random misfire" code. Your profile says that this is a 6-bolt swap with ECMLink. Try unchecking the "Cylinder Misfire" box on the Misc tab in ECMLink. With a 6-bolt swap, you have to use a 1G CAS. The 1G CAS is not compatible the 2G ECU's misfire...

1G No Start - No Spark, No Fuel

The ECT light has nothing to do with starting the engine, There are two sensors on the thermostat housing. The 2-wire sensor tells the ECU what the engine temp is. This can affect starting. The 1-wire sensor controls the light. This light will turn on when the key is switched to ON (as a bulb...

1G Is there anyway to test an ECU?

A very basic test of the ECU is to turn the key to ON and observe the check engine light and the factory boost gauge. The check engine light should come on and stay on for around 5 seconds and then turn off. The factory boost gauge should go up to approximately 1/2 scale and stay there. A...

    General Wideband gauge reading backwards

Actually, the wideband does measure fuel too. At any AFR richer than stoich there is no longer any oxygen in the exhaust to measure. Kevin Jewer explains this very well on his website.https://www.sixsigmatuning.com/pages/general-wideband-o2-sensor-infoJim

    2G Head oil feed plug

The stock oil feed line for the T25 comes in 2 pieces. The fitting that goes into the oil filter housing contains an 0.070" restrictor which must be used. http://oem.jnztuning.com/1995-mitsubishi-eclipse-gs-gas_2.0_l_4-transaxle_automatic_3-engine-turbocharger-pw_6226210.gif/Part # MR161690...

2G No start no click power to car

There is a one wire connector that runs between the main engine harness and the starter harness (connector A-34 on the above schematic). It is located behind and below the thermostat housing. This wire (black/yellow) carries the start signal from the starter relay (under the dash) to the starter...

2G Help Me Diagnose my Charging System Issue

Actually, this is fairly normal for a 2G. The 2G ECU will adjust voltage as needed to keep the battery charged. When the car is first started, the alternator will charge at 14.3 - 14.5 volts to replace the current lost during the engine start. As the battery comes up to full charge, the voltage...

    help reading live data

This sounds like a blown sensor ground in the ECU but it could also be a broken sensor ground wire (black wire) to ECU pin #92. http://www.ecmtuning.com/wiki/blownsensorground
