91 Tsi AWD engine noise. BS bearing? Tensioner? Lifter? Video!

I'd like to start by saying I took a break from DSM's for a few years but had the itch again so ended up picking up my 91 TSI AWD about 2 years ago. I bought it stock with 215k miles on it from a 70+ year old man. I did just about everything new on the car. Timing belt, pulleys, BS belt...

Are the TQ specs for lightweight flywheel the same as OEM

Are the torque specs the same for an ACT lightened flywheel as they are for the factory AWD flywheel bolts? I know factory specs are 94-101ftlbs. Wasnt sure if it was any less or more.

Are synchromesh fluids good for high mileage transmission?

I would like to get MT90 but $15 a quart is kinda steep IMO. What other options are there as far as just going to a parts store to get it?

Hey guys been a while since ive been on the forums aside from searching. Right now i am about to do the clutch in my mostly stock 220k miles 91 awd (3" TBE, K&N, fmic/ greddy rs). I am doing a stock clutch/flywheel. I was wondering if it would be fine to use something like pennzoil synchromesh...

Ok, that would explain it then if its for the neutral safety switch, cause that is not connected. Never thought about that.:ohdamn:

So, i'm having an issue with my car not starting. Took a look around under the dash and saw this plug hanging next to the fuses/relay. Can anyone tell me what it might be?

    Starting issues - No / Doesn't / Won't Start - MERGED

Thanks, my understanding is that with a bad coolant temp sensor the car will try to turn over but just not start, or it will start and run like dirt. I'll take it into consideration though. I already bought a new starter so I might as well replace it. If it turns out it is the coolant temp...
