Yeah shop charge is no joke. Spent 415 on just a bore, hone, and deck for my block. Def get the fsm, you can find free copies on the net.

not a bad price, for the engine. but beware that it may be cheap for a reason. it could have issues with compression, bearings, and worst of all the dreaded crank walk. take your time and check measurements twice. use the manual when you can and purchase the right tools for the job. don't build...

As i said junkyard builds. Id like to thibk they are better than cxracing but probably the same chinese garbage anyway.

They are popular with junkyard lsx builds making over 1000 hp. But those are low boost applications like stated already. Not really sure if they would hold 30-40 psi. Thats a stress area they werent designed for.
