When i had oil leaking from that location it was because i wasnt using a slightly larger crushwasher, once i put one the correct size one it was leak free but be careful with overtightening the adapter that screws onto the turbo and stripping it.

Id start with a coolant system FLUSH because that will remove scale and grime from your cooling system then add fresh coolant. If your still having problems look into a thermostat, radiator, and in worse scenarios a bad water pump (not likely in your case).
To check if its a boost leak issue turn your boost down to about 10 pounds or as low as itll go and if your problem is no longer present, you have a boost leak or your exceeding the limits of your setup so turn down the boost. And for those who said a boost leak doesnt feel like hitting a brick...

What if the leak was between the ex. manifold and the turbo and it was a decent size leak (1 stud broken). On a 2g with a 16g turbo and stock exhaust could it beneficially relieve some backpressure once the turbo is already spooled up at WOT?
ok i thought that would be the case of getting more voltage thus working harder and louder. however i think its weird that the one guys fuel pump got quieter.
