  1. 2G Replaced Alternator, Causing Oil Leak?

After replacing the coolant hose going to the oil cooler, the oil leak has stopped! Well I do still see 1-3 drops after driving but it's so much better than the pool of oil I was experiencing before. And the lower amount of the oil leak is not because all the oil is out of my car, oil level is...
  2. 2G Replaced Alternator, Causing Oil Leak?

just got the coolant hose from STM. can't wait to install it tomorrow after work and run the car so I can see approximately where the leak is coming from.I did spot a small pool of oil on top of my trans, wonder if it splashed up there or dripped down from somewhere. should know more tomorrow.
  3. 2G Replaced Alternator, Causing Oil Leak?

motomattx: pretty sure it's not trans oil. felt and smelt like motor oil.Tanro: after reading posts about oil from that side I was figuring those would be the culprits. the timing just seems weird that nothing before and then this happens as coolant hose breaks. i'll be checking those things...

what is the status on the meet? there seems to be a little snow coming in on monday, but looks to finish around 5pm that day. not much snow either, maybe around 1-2 inches. roads should be fine for all cars to make it. awds should have no problem at all, lowered or not. fwd guys might want a set...
  7. Cold Weather Problems, Non-engine related

Not sure I want to reinforce the plastic piece, just have to door pop out so the handle isn't taking all the forces.I found a door handle at pick n pull. Both Eclipses had there handle taken already so I pulled one from a 96 Dodge Avenger. So glad most people don't know about the Chrysler...
  8. Cold Weather Problems, Non-engine related

After about 12,000+ uses (2 twice a day since 1999) my drivers door handle decided it had enough and quit its job. The door was really frozen this morning and wouldn't open causing the handle to start retirement. Now I have to open the passenger door to open the drivers door. The problem I am...
