I feel your pain but that being said... The job I have now pays the same I got in General Aviation in 1985. Just last month another part time oppertunity came up in general conversation, to assemble Aircraft engines at a local airport. There are things out there if you look and have some...
I found some stuff called Purple Power. When I was up north I coated eveything with a LPS3 type self healing waxy coating. After I moved south I tryed to remove the stuff and nothing would cut it off. This Purple Power is amazing spray it on and let it set for a minute and pressure wash it is...
OK First of all I have had two DSM's both 1990, both turbo. The first I atempted to teach my girlfriend at the time how to drive a stick. It started like this: Push in the clutch, Turn the key, Lift the clutch, as you feel the car start to pull increase the throttle, THE WEELS ARE SPINNING, let...
First it is a 4666 bulb. Second put the pop up headlamps in the up position with the button on the left side of the instrument panel. With a phillips screw driver remove the trim around the headlamp. Two screws in front and one or two on each side. I haven't changed one for a while so I am...
Im in the same boat as you and agree with the last poster. If the head that came off is flat and smooth, the new block machined flat, done deal new gaskets ARPs everything should be fine.
OK looking at this from a logical standpoint. IAT is not MAP. MAP is Baro (manifold air pressure = Barometric pressure)
AFR is "air fuel ratio" or the UEGO off the narrow band tap on the gauge.
EGR "Exhaust Gas Recurlation" I am lacking the detail on how that would work with the DSM link.
I gave up and put in a remote oil filter. I would rather have a larger filter in a remote location than a smaller filter close to the exhaust. Extra heat, limited filter media. Sounds like a oil cokeing oven recipie. Our cars run hot enough all ready
1/2 inch T bar and a Pipe.:thumb: I use a 1/2 inch threaded rod, washers, nuts, and my 3/4 inch socket set to push in and out front wheel bearings. Just remember not to load the balls of the bearings during instalation or you will be replacing them again in about 3000 miles.
In the fourth and fifth picture of the link you posted. the switch portion of the ignition will be to the right side of the picture. You can just see the tab with the threaded end of the screw on the bottom side of the flange.
Yes it is a bolt with a T head or some sort of capdevaded device to keep it from turning. I think it is a loose fit to allow alignment of the lower brace.
OK you want free mods to improve the car. 1st, nothing is free. Even if it increases performance in the short run. Get a boost guage if you don't have one. Then you can start tuning. 2nd get a tuning device of some kind. If you dont know what the effect of your tuning is, you are wasting your...
I have the MAFT and have been running the stock 450 injectors. Read the MAFT paperwork you can set the base injector size with one of the dashpots inside before you start with the low, Med, High rpm settings.
OK it will take some welding. Use a hole saw and cut out the affected area. manufacture a replacment plug and weld a nut to the back side. Then weld the plug back into the hole. That is just my suggestion. I have manufactured a replacment bumper support for my car out of rectangular tubing. I...
