I haven't posted in a long while.

My GSX has been having some issues for the past year and I can't seem to figure it out. It basically started not starting once hot and would only crank then eventually would start, been over everything trying to figure that out.

Found some messed up ground wires, moved the battery to the back of the car, and fixed the ground cable mountings. So I got out today and start it after finishing up the catch install which was only running the braided nylon line. let it run for about 25-30 mins, noticed it started to slowly idle surge and the CEL was on. I didn't have my lap top, shut it off ran and grabbed my lap top and code was gone.

I tried to restart it and it will not restart now. Used a spare plug and confirmed it has spark, pulled a plug from the engine it's completely dry, no fuel, fuel press on the fpr is over 40 psi. I checked power on pin 3 at the resistor pack has battery voltage, unplugged a injector and have battery voltage on each side of injector, changed the resistor pack with a spare one i have, no change. I can hear the Walbro turning on and running while cranking. Tried swapping out the CAS with no change.

Any help would be appreciated.

Solution
Found the issue. When the harness was out and I was fixing wires that were hacked by old owner, I accidentally mixed up the cam and crank signal wires to the ECU by mistake. Repinned connector and it's good now. CAS sensor fixed the no injector pulse also.
Listen, I know this will sound stupid and I'm not just posting for the sake of it, but do you have enough fuel in the tank? Legitimate question. I've had it a few times where not enough fuel caused no-starts or very low surgy idle. I should point out that even if the fuel gauge needle is showing above the "E" mark, fuel can still be so low and not spread evenly in the AWD tank that the pump can't pick up and sustain enough fuel to pressurize the lines/rail.

Are your injectors set up In link correctly, did you adjust anything I just went through this, and I need to add more fuel , she started up after that. I checked for spark, compression, I knew it was fuel related since my injectors were just cleaned, well that was it.

It had just been running it started to surge slowly then , shut it off to grab the laptop and wouldn't restart checked that everything seem to still be set up. I'll add some fuel tomorrow it's not terribly low about 1/4 tank. Have had it running with the tank being lower on fuel but I'll check it, also will pull the fuel.line to see if the filter got clogged but again the fpr is reading 40-42psi

How old is the fuel pump sock and filter up front?

Use the turn pump on feature in link to confirm if the pump is building pressure. Could be a pump going out even if you hear it turn on

Ecu??

Do you have a spare PTU? I think a bad MPI relay won't give you fuel if I'm correct. But you said it was running before...just some ideas that come to my head.

Capture a log trying to start it. Maybe someone experienced can spot something wrong

I have a log of it happening, was able to get a hold of some noid lights no injector pulse, I do have a spare used PTU. Already swapped that out no changed measured voltage at the y/g and y/b wires have battery voltage there, also tried swapping CAS unknown condition of the 91 + CAS, no change trying to locate another 90 CAS.

Checked continuity to ground on the grounds for ECU those are good, getting power into the ECU in the right spots, also tried swapping out coolant temp sensor with know nbn good one no change. Injector duty cycle on ECMLink is staying low .5%, timing is also staying dead locked at 5 degrees.

It set 41 code twice

Having a tough time with this, gone over every possibly issue. Swapped ECUs with ECMTuning, same issue. Removed the wiring harness and opened up harness and checked for chaffed or bad wires. None found, ohm tested all wiring for injectors is good, swapped out injector resistor packs, also swapped out the MPI relay, three different known good cam sensors, even tried a different power transistor.

Checked mechanical timing is dead on. Not sure what much more it can be. Pin fit on all connectors is good installed ne injector connectors (soldered and heat shrinked) have power to injectors, at times has injector pulse some times only seems to have signal on two injectors.

Yes but the readi gs I'm getting just seem to be continuity readi g I'm not getting the 5 ohms of resistance readings from pin 3 to the others, so far I've tried 3 different packs all used resistor packs supposively out of running vehicle or that were running. Have another pack coming in a day or so, going to try it again, can't find the resistor pack new anywhere havent tried mitsubishi yet tho.

Check your transistor

This is the correct way to check the resistor packs and the ohm readings you should see:

Should that be a problem and you need a new one, they can be found here:

Hope this helps!

any update did you fix this ?
what was the issue?

I replaced the CAS sensor after having ECMTuning take a look at the ECU and determined the ECU was fine and ran their test vehicle. I ordered a new case now have better injector pulse. ECMTuning reviewed a log and is saying the cause of my issue is the ECU isn't seeing a cranking signal. Not sure what more it could be, CAS sensor is from rock auto. looks like it has a mits number and emblems on it.

I haven't posted logs in a while so forgot how to post it but i do have logs of the issue. The crank signal (RPM on ECMLink is only showing spuratic RPMs range, until 200 RPM then falls flat.
