Resolved 2G Fuel Feed High Pressure Hose

I need some help my fuel pressure hose from my tank to the fuel filter hose was bad and I had to replace it but I cant find the part. I called dealerships nothing , I tried the forums on Facebook I got no help from them I called a dumbass more than help and I've even look it up through Google for about a month now I still cant find it, but I managed to get a part number mr134863 but when I looked it belong to a 95 galant 2.4l . If you guys can just help me out finding this part so i can get my gsx started by the way I own a 1995 Mitsubishi eclipse gsx awd and it's the fuel pressure hose that connects to the fuel tank to fuel filter hard line

Honestly, you are going to have to replace the fuel line with a/n line at this point. Good luck trying to find a gsx at a junk yard, with the fuel line still intact. You can look online at stm and find the required hardware to complete that task.

Either do AN line replacement or have a hardline fabbed in the same fashion as the old one.

AN line from stm/jnz or direct from fuel lab etc. Would be my recommendation, and will probably be more cost effective, plus more future upgrade options

We're talking about the high pressure hose that comes off directly from the fuel pump, the one with the hex on it? If so, there's 4 different part numbers for it.

The one you've listed is also used on DSMs, (MR134863) from 1994.1 (1st month of '94) to 1995.3 (3rd month of '95). If your car's date of manufacture falls within that window, go ahead and order that one.

The other part numbers are (MR134408), from 1995.1 to 1995.3.

And the last one listed is (MR135562), from 1995.1 to 1999.3.

Alternatively, just remove the hose and go to your local parts stores and see if they have anything that matches those part numbers, and visually compare them. I guess you could also look for one off a junkyard, or go to a special shop that can manufacture a hose just like that for you.

Also don't worry that sometimes parts are listed for other Mitsubishi models. You'll be surprised how many parts are shared between a lot of '90s Mitsubishi cars.

Yes it's the rubber hose with the crimp fitting on both end that connects to the tank to hard line

And my car was manufactured in September of 1994

So will MR134863 fit on my car? That way I can buy it now

Well based on that info I think it should fit. Worst case scenario you can compare it to your old one and return it if it ends up being different. But I think the only real difference may be in the length.

You could always run some 3/8" copper/nickel fuel line and put the correct ends on them. It is super easy to work with, I just replaced both rear brake lines with 3/16" CN line and it was a dream to work with, very easy to form by hand or with a tube bender. Your local parts store SHOULD have a coil of it, the fittings may have to be reused if you can't find metric threaded ends. Just a thought.

That said, the only one of those that is still available in Mitsubishi's U.S. Inventory is MB433988, which then supersedes to part # MR161794 . There are 3 of those remaining in Mitsubishi's U.S. inventory.

The question is that you'll want a knowledgeable 2G guy (I can tell you a ton of part numbers off of the top of my head for 1Gs and Evos, down to bolt part numbers, but can't tell you the difference, if any on these 2G hoses) to confirm that this hose will fit the production date car you actually have. There may be no difference in any of these parts other than the number, but you'll want someone who's swapped them to confirm if you don't have an early 1995 car.

PART MB443988 (MR161794) IS THE SAME AS MR134863 SO WILL THAT MEAN EITHER ONE WILL FIT BECAUSE BOTH PARTS HAVE THE SAME ILLUSTRATION AND NUMBER

Ok I got the fuel line MR161794 it fits and it's the right length but the problem I'm having is installing the fuel line when I try to tighten the fuel line the entire hose moves along with the fitting is there a special way to install the fuel line?

I did and I end up damaging the original line like the fitting and rubber hose moves together

Unless mine is completely seized, mine doesn't rotate either - which I find hard to believe for a 60K car that has always been garage kept. The fitting end seems to crimped to the hose so that when you rotate it the fitting and the hose rotate together. I even put mine in a vise and tried to spin it with a 19 flare wrench. Very stupid of Mitsubishi to design it this way - it should have been a swivel right from the factory.

Anyway, I just did what was already mentioned above and ordered these parts from STM to build my own hose: (ignore the default -4AN listed in the image, you want to order the -6AN fittings).

I will second the copper line option. I did a brake line this way and that tubing is excellent to work with. I have heard that those lines will get corroded, depending on the material that the end fittings are made of though. It's also pretty pricey.

I believe it is a metric flare fitting.
