Well guys i finally got some issues sorted out with the car. The last time when the car ran 10.2 we only made 590whp due to changing from ball bearing to journal were we lost 30whp. With the new found power we are hoping to break into the 9's or get very close to the current stock block record. We changed from hks 272's to Fp4r's and the change was very much worth it. The car now maintains the power up top and did not loose any down low in comparison to the hks. Forced performance has been very good to me and the parts have performed outstanding. The car still maintains the stock block, stock port head, stock intake manifold and stock throttle body.... 1/4 mile times coming very soon!!

Very nice. Just proves a properly set up and tuned stock 6 bolt can put out some serious power.

I thought the DSM88HTA was ball bearing? What turbo are you refering to that was journal bearing? Congrats man! And when you're ready to step up, sell me that turbo! LOL!

Yes, the turbo was ball bearing but after an unexpected failure of the unit and the chra not being available anymore FP built it journal bearing for us :)

This might not happen (since most "record holder" type setup owners don't want to give out info), but I was wondering if you would be willing to give us a full run down on your mod's list? Also I swear I read somewhere about you losing something like 30whp going from BB to journal bearing (is that true)?

mods are on my profile... only things different is i now run dual jayracing pt341 pumps, fp4r's and a fp 4" intake.

yeah the car lost 30whp when i had to put on the journal dsm88. The reason why is because the car spooled roughly 500-600 rpm later. By spooling later the power band was not as quick coming in and therefore lost peak power.

I was reading your 621whp thread and saw the FP spring and retainer setup, then the FP4r's and didn't see either of those in your profile, that's why I was asking about the setup. I'm not trying to copy your setup or anything, just asking, as I'm interested, and sure others are as well. Congrats on the numbers! What lb / min is that turbo rated for? Any plans to switch out from the FP manifold and bolt on housing to a T3 or T4 setup? Are you running an ignition box or just the Spark Tech COP?

Good numbers. What is it making SAE???

on that thread it made that power using what was stated on the first post. The fp cams were bought later with the fp springs. Finally we were able to test them and so here we are.

why would you do a 3rd gear pull?
Why wasnt your dyno set to sae smoothing5?
your numbers will not be acurate with the way yoou ran it.
do it right or dont show off anything.:banghead:

what gear would you do it at? don't see your point... please make me see the light

SAE smoothing 5 actually read 638hp and 500tq.. again please explain just how 1 hp makes a difference ?

Good numbers. What is it making SAE???

SAE made 638hp and 500tq

let's see what mph she does at the track so there is no doubt on her numbers... Everyone that knows me knows i am straight up on what i do. I have no need to boost numbers unlike some people.

third gear inflates the numbers 4th gear is the true 1:1 for dyno pulls

you should alway do a 1:1 pull now matter the gear wether it be 3, 4, or 5th gear. in your case its 4th gear. what were your 4th gear numbers?

I appreciate your advice but please bring some facts to the table as to why is 4th gear the 1:1 on my application. This is the way we have tuned the car since day one and it has gotten us to 10.2 @ 139 on the stock block so we must be doing something right or maybe we are just darn lucky.
