The Vendor Announcement forum is dedicated to our Supporting Vendors and was put in place so that they can communicate directly with our members. Only DSMtuners Supporting Vendors are allowed to start threads here. All non-vendors are allowed to reply to these threads to ask questions about the announcements. The only type of Vendor announcements that should be posted are product updates, Group Buys, press releases about your shop, and special offers for the DSM community.
There are a few rules we ask our Supporting Vendors (and all members) to follow in this forum when they post. They are:
1. Nobody is to intentionally undermine an announcement posted by a Supporting Vendor, either by way of posting a competing announcement thread promoting a lower price, by sending PM's or emails to the members, or by replying to an announcement thread and promoting a lower price found elsewhere. Posting an announcement that is essentially the same as another Supporting Vendor is now considered acceptable, so long as it does not undercut the pricing of another Supporting Vendor's special (within 2 weeks of their announcement). If you are a Supporting Vendor and want to promote a product with a lower price than that posted by another Supporting Vendor, you must wait at least 2 weeks from the date of the competing announcement to post your own thread.
The idea here is to prevent pricing wars and to promote a healthy and respectful atmosphere for all our Supporting Vendors. Just be mindful of the other posted announcements and thread titles before you post. If you see this type of violation happen, report the thread in question to the Moderators. Vendors should remove or edit their thread to meet these guidelines immediately.
2. Supporting Vendors should only participate in your own shop's thread. Do not post replies in other Supporting Vendors' threads that could be seen as negative in any way. If another Supporting Vendor posts a reply in your thread and you would like that reply removed, report it to a Moderator using the supplied link - that goes for any reply that you find objectionable in your thread.
3. Please limit your shop's number of announcements to 2 new threads per week, and a maximum of 8 per month. You'll notice that when there are replies to a thread that the thread does not rise to the top of the forum. This is to prevent vendors from "bumping" their threads back to the top for more exposure by replying to their thread excessively.
4. If you're a Supporting Vendor and are posting a product release, be sure and post a link to your site where members can find more information about the product, or an email link. There should be enough information provided in your thread (or on your website) to answer all potential questions a member would have and prevent the need to reply multiple times with follow up info.
5. If you're a member replying to an announcement posted by a Supporting Vendor, you should only post a reply if the comment (or answer to your question) will benefit the rest of the community, as in sharing technical information. Do not post "PM sent" or "Send me a shipping quote PM to this Zip Code" replies. If your reply does not add anything meaningful to the discussion, it may be removed.
And do not use the Vendor forum as a place to post a complaint about customer service, product complaints, public challenges, or flame the Supporting Vendors in any way for any reason. If you have have a complaint about one of our Supporting Vendors, feel free to click on the Vendors link in the top navigation to rate and review any of them.
Click here to find out the correct way to voice your complaint. If you have some constructive criticism about the Vendor's post, PM or email the Vendor. Using this forum to post your complaints or publicly criticize our Supporting Vendors will get you a warning and your post will be removed.
6. Group Buys - only Supporting Vendors are allowed to start group buys. And there should only be one group buy running at a time per vendor. The vendor running the group buy is required to stay active in all Group Buy threads that they start. If they fail to update the thread at a minimum of every 7 days until it's completed, the thread will be locked and the participants will be advised to file chargebacks through their bank.
The vendor should also give the members as much information as they can about how the group buy is being conducted - ie. is the vendor collecting money before they actually pay for the shipment themselves or do they have it on hand... where is the shipment coming from, how long will it take to get here, etc. The vendor should be able to meet their posted deadlines.
Participants in any Group Buy should be extremely careful with how they make payments. If you pay using Paypal, be advised that if you don't receive the product within 45 days you need to file a Paypal claim, regardless of the promises from the vendor before the 45th day. No exceptions. If you pay with a credit card, file a chargeback with the bank within 60 days (or whatever the limit is for your bank). If you go beyond that date you will not be able to recover your money. We believe our Supporting Vendors to be trustworthy, but that does not mean you shouldn't protect yourself. We cannot vouch for these vendors. At the end of the day, they are simply advertisers who are allowed to market to our members.

These rules may be changed at any time, please check back each time you post an announcement to make sure you're not violating them. Contact us to become a Supporting Vendor
