Ohh exciting! Is this just one group buy and then it's done or will they be sold normally afterwards too? I might be able to scrape up the cash but just in case...

Price is good on the hood, but why is the shipping cost so high? Online hood vendors charge 100-125$ all day to send out hoods. I even bought one for another car I had for 75$ shipping, not saying that is the norm though. Just curious. Would be more interested if the shipping wasn't so gouging.

yea shipping does suck, but its understandable, its being shipped from Cali and is also a feight size piece. Its not a normal size item to ship.

What you can do to maybe save shipping(I did this when GT fab had there Carbon fiber hood GB), is find another person in your area who is buying one and combine shipping on both those items. Me and Visionpaintball got our hoods for x1.25 times the original shipping.

Just gotta find someone else to split the shipping cost

You are also 6 hours away driving, IDK if thats worth it to pick it up them.

BTW, OP glad to see you are better and back with the DSM community

Hi
The trunk its bigger than a hood bro.... I make myself the shipping labels and for a hood is at least $150.00 if you do a research on eBay the cheapest cost for a 2g trunk is $150 and the highest $193.00 if anybody knows a shipping company with a better price i have no problem on using it. there's always cheapest options like greyhound but its not 100% safe.....

Glad to see you are recovering well! Any word on the spyder trunks yet. I would imaging shipping and actual fab cost would be alot cheaper also due to it being alot smaller.

Shipping really isn't all that bad. I work shipping for a performance company and the price would only be lower than that, due to volume. Meaning you have prob seen lower prices, because those companies ship a lot more than this fella, and get better discounts. Plus the cost of the boxes themselves and the materials to pack it with.

Since shipping is based on volume and not weight.

How much extra would it be for shipping on 2-3 hatchs, and hoods all at one time?
Thanks.

I contacted Flex-a-Lite last year about the molded curved polymer windows and they told me that they needed 2 OEM glass to make the mold and a order of 10+. Im really interested in these since they can be installed just like original glass and don't require drilling and fastening and feature 2" black borders just like the OEM glass. Im willing to donate 2 OEM glass and make the 10+ order myself if other people from the group buy of the Carbonetics CSL carbon fiber hatch are interested in buying the Flex-a-lite molded rear glass.

What material would it be made out of? FAL is a scratch resistant polymer coated polycarbonate sheet that is molded flawlessly and comes with a full warranty. It can fitted to the stock seal as well.

Why not buy an OEM one? I don't see a point in buying a hatch with a lip spoiler, just to put another spoiler on it.

The CSL style hath has a built in lip, so bolting a spoiler to this hatch would not only look horrible but is something a ricer would do. If you looking to leave the OEM spoiler go for a carbon fiber OEM hatch.
