Want HTA? Don't have HTA monies?
Forced Performance Turbochargers: FP 76HTA Turbocharger for DSM
Introducing our new 76HTA turbocharger for DSM this turbo is fitted with a 76HTA wheel rated at 59LB a minute, on the opposite end is our high flowing 65MM turbine wheel, and stuffed into our free breathing 8CM turbine housing. This is for that budget build looking to make between 450-500HP in a bolt up option without breaking the bank. We have a very limited supply of these so if you're looking for the best bang for your buck this is the turbo for you.
Thanks!
-Michael

Because 999$ is low enough.
If you want to think about it this way the turbo is 999$ and we throw in the WGA for free if you don't want it we don't charge you to remove it.

HTA 76:Rated at 59lbs/min but only good for 450-500?
HTA 73 Green: Rated at 54bls/min good for upwards of 540hp?
Both have 8cm housing and 65mm turbine (TD06H4 I assume?)
I'm confused?

Let's put it in context shall we.
That doesn't say anything about the maximum potential of the turbo. Would you expect someone on a budget build to max out this turbo? Us either that's why we say 450-500HP which is a much more obtainable goal and a more realistic expectations.

Think of it like a Green on roids.
Slower spooling than a green but quicker than a Red.
Flows more than a green but less than a red.
84MM Surge port not an option.

Are you insinuating that we're somehow offering a sub par product because it's cheaper? It's not a red or we'd call it a red and it's not a green or we'd call it a green. In the description of the turbo we clearly state what parts we used to make it and even give you a picture.
And now I was referring to the regular Red HTA we sell.

You do understand that the 76HTA does not use an 84MM flow enhancement cover.
I think this is the only board I post on where I have people question a good deal. Everyone else the price is $999. RR06RS if you want one it's $1299 I don't want you to think I'm selling you inferior parts because you're not paying enough.

Yes you are wrong.
I think the disconnect here is that you don't know as much about our products as you think you do and your posts are just serving to confuse other people and cluttering up this thread.

3" Standard Cover
84MM Flow Advancement Cover - Pro-Tip we do not offer this any other way.
I'm not understanding how this can confuse you, they are noticeably different.

The reason that it's cheaper than the green or the red is because we're crazy!!!!!
Seriously though it's smaller turbine wheel than what's in the Red but same compressor wheel and it's a standard 3" which is not the same as 84MM.

Is your new 71HTA a limited time offer as well? With an internal gate will it have any boost control issues with the td05h turbine wheel?

So basically this is a limited run for this turbo? So if it goes bad(hypertheically) it'll be expensive to fix and or can't get parts for?

WOW!
We get new products (which is a rarity) and you people question it?!?!
I would like to say THANK YOU to Michael and the rest of the Forced Performance family!
As for myself I'm undecided between the Green and the 71HTA....

This 71 HTA sounds like an amazing turbo as well I am surprised you didn't mention that one as well. A turbo that has top end like a green but the spool like a e316g I am having a hard time not spending my rent money on the turbo to go with the race manifold I just bought.

Oh I'm SORRY for asking a valid question, I'm interested in the turbo and if I'm spending money on something I want to know.
I'm thankful FP is always stepping up to the plate and making great turbo's for our cars.

Dependent on the rest of your setup o2 housing, boost controller, vacuum hosing routing, among other things you might see a little spike and fall when it initially comes up.

Well the 71 is more like a 68HTA in a big cover than a green so if you had your eye on a 68HTA the 71HTA is the turbo for you.
