New J-Pipe for 16g (COP-JE)

If you want to discharge your 16g or 14b very close to the same location as your factory T25, the COP-E will do just that.# It hugs the turbo close yet with enough room to clamp a coupler.# The discharge is about 1/2" lower and about an inch closer to the fender as compared to the T25## Gasket and SS bolts are included.# Discharge is 2"dia.

No offence, but for a name brand company I would expect to see a part like that tig welded. Whoever did the welds on that needs to learn how to setup a welder, and or learn to weld cause the welds were put in cold thats why they are tall and not smoother. Also the transition that puts the pipe towards the passenger side looks pretty cheesy as if it was done in a driveway. I can't tell from the pictures, but it doesn't look like the outlet has been bead rolled, that should be done also.
The part will come in handy for many people however, so thanks for the innovation. I just hope the quality goes up a bit.

The welds are MIG welded and that's what keeps the cost down. Since this part is functional, not cosmetic we think MIG is sufficient. The outlet IS roll beaded.

Im liking the idea but lets hope the price reflects the piece as Dave said it would.

Edit: On their site it's under part number COP-E.

And it's $99

You guys forget that everything you order from them comes powdercoated too! I bet it would cost you $30-$40 to have it powdercoated locally.

Man PCs suck at being sarcastic. I was mocking the fact that just because it's a 'name brand' it doestn justify that fact of the price increase...

But I do agree with Gamble, the powdercoating is worth the $99

To innovation, keep up the good work, I'm still rocking your guy's piping even though i made some of my own.

To the guys knocking their work. It's a business. They make a bunch of these, put the R&D into everything, get all the fitment issues corrected, figure out the best way to route the piping, bead roll the edges on all their pipes, and top it off with a powder coat color of your choice. The price is a bargain for the quality - they even give your SS bolts and a gasket. If you're looking for show quality finish, email or call them and ask them for the exceptional finish that meets your standards. Heck, if you don't want to pay the extra, grind down the welds yourself and get it recoated or ask for no coating.

Keep it up DPH!

Thanks for clarifying that the end is bead rolled. I don't understand why you would mig weld something to keep the cost down, when tig welding doesn't cost anymore. Maybe you have to pay a tig welder more then a mig welder, but that isn't much over head.

Exreme Turbo Systems makes a pipe that fits better then this also. Theirs is ALL stainless steel, tig welded, and can be powder coated for $5! So with the powder coating option, you will spend a grand $3.90 more for the FAR superior piece, but that is only if you don't like brushed stainless.

Maybe they don't have a tig? Or they outsource their tig.
You can get a nice mig welder for a good price, but for a nice tig you would spend a LOT more money.

I think this part is way cool and just cause it is mig welded doesn't mean it is not quality! And if you guys are trying to hate because another compay makes a stainless one and its tig welded that is just up to you where you wanna buy it! Besides every welder knows that tig is a much longer process than mig welding so once again if you have a business that is trying to make money and makes a bunch of the same things, you would probably want them put together as fast as possible and still hold together and not spend so much time doing the same thing. Nice part guys!!

It comes powdercoated because it's mild steel and will rust. Most ALL other aftermarket J-Pipes are SS. Besides the powdercoat will probably chip off soon like any of my other Dejon products that used to be on my car.

Actually, Dejon has a nice 16g J-pipe with an integrated 90* bend going that goes towards the driver's side. That piece fits like a glove I have to admit. Other J-pipes go off in wacky directions.

The only thing I have to ask is what would it cost to have a vaccume nipple welded in before powder coating? I bought a cheap ebay one for $40 (with out the 90* or a nipple). I would have easily paid the extra for this if it came with a nipple. Also what is it made of? Steel or stainless?

We do offer an "air nipple" for $5 on the web page. It's a brass fitting that we drill & tap a hole for.

We think we offer a good product for the price, you may agree or disagree. As for competitive products, its a free country, buy what you want from who you want, but please don't use my thread to trash talk me.

This part is intended to allow a 16g to closely substitute for a 2g stock T25. I could lengthen the 2" discharge about 1" and expand it to 2.5" It should clear the stock fans on a 1g, but I can't be sure. If you want to pursue that call me at 937-753-1042

I hope you do not think I was trash talking your product. I was trying to compare a part I bought to yours and was asking what extra it would have cost to weld a nipple on there. I was thinking of buying this but wanted a welded nipple and not a drilled and taped. There are things I do not like about the ebay one I bought the design of the ebay one appears not to have a very good flow and I don't even know if I can get a bolt on it tight. I was also asking what material you used to make it. Just so I knew.

I think you have a superior design and am very interested in it. I know some other were bashing your product as far as quality. But I am personally more interested in functionality than looks.

Drilled/tapped is fine, and mostly everyone does that because it's a brass nipple.
