At only 43psi we are getting closer and closer to that illusive 4 digit number It seems like it has a lot more left in it, but we needed it to hold together for the DSM shootout! Any guesses in regards to flywheel horsepower? Keep in mind this is through a 3 speed Ford automatic
Results from the shootout were not what we were hoping for as we had converter issues that held us back from leaving the hole hard, but we decided some shakedown runs were in order anyways Considering it did 154.5mph utilizing about 2/3 of the track under power I think it has a lot more in it Can't wait to see what it does with some nitrous to get up on the stall!
Make sure your speakers are on pretty loud to get the full effect in regards to when the power came on
Also, I want to thank our sponsors that have made this build so successful! The new CNC ported cylinder head from Performance CNC coupled with the Forced Performance Camshafts and Kiggly Racing Valve Springs & Retainers really helped on the top end compared to our previous setup!
Wow. That trap and et dont match at all. If you could get that thing out of the hole... low 9's without the bottle. Can't wait for ya'll to work out all the little quirks.

The RWD 1g's went high 8's at around 149mph on Sunday, this should be a mid 8 second car no problem

This thing is going to haul once it gains the ability to leave the line. The converter was just too tight to get it done at the shootout, but its nothing a looser converter or a little spray won't fix.
Kevin Jewer's RWD went 8.9x at 156mph, but he really wasn't getting out of the hole very strong. I've gone 8.9's at as low as 148mph. I have no doubt you guys will be in the 8's just sorting the launch out, then its time to start cranking some more power into it!
I'm glad to be a part of this. Good job out there guys!
I thought I had sent one. I was inquiring about the billet turbo's you guys advertised a while back about having spool up like GT35 and power of a GT40. Just seeing if you ever added these to your site, or how I might be able to snag one.
Deffinatly lots of power on tap. I was wandering around the lanes and saw you guys pull in. I just caught the last 1/2 of the track on the 154mph pass pass and proclamined "holy hell" deffinatly the fastest 12 second pass that I've ever seen, lol. Awsome car guys you did a hell of a job building it.
The only thing is if you spray it off the line (depending on the shot) you won't get a ton of stall speed. You may only see a stall of 4k. I don't know what your 1st gear ratio is to your rear end, but it sure seems like you would want to get a little more stall out of it for comming off the line. Is your converter adjustable? You may try loosing it up just slightly if it is. Just a thought. You guys know best though.

The converter wasnt stalling at all if i remember correctly. And they didnt have spray on the car.
I helped pushed that car after your thorttle cable slipped off lol. Great looking car overall and sexy as hell. :-) glad I could help out.
Thanks again for the help!

We do have what's called a variable stall, but the complete lack of power at such low RPM's isn't even allowing us to get up to what the stall *should* be at which is 4500 with the VSC off and 5500 with it on. We are pretty confident that a 125 shot will bring the turbo into boost and help us reach the desired stall, but we will find out for sure next weekend!

And also, what are the hardcore FD guys saying about it?
You know they think rotaries are going to rule the world one day, I hope you can change their minds about that with your 4g63 RX7 !!!! Hopefully more and more other car circles will see what the 4g63 is capable of; in ANY platform!
