I get that too. Nice bright light (tint of blue) than it dims as it warms up.

EDIT that^^^: I just went outside to take pictures and it was the opposite. Very, very dim(blue) and than it brightens up till its super bright white!

OK, so does anyone have a proven combo to get for a 1ga?

My headlights SUCK!!! yellow and dim and just horrible.

Do i have to get replacement lenses like in the jcwitney link and then order the kit?
I live in san francisco so i dont need anything too bright, i think the 35w 5000k kit will do nicely.

Any help on showing me everything i need to get this in my car would be VERY much appreciated as i know nothing about HID's.

I read the whole thread but the couple of guys with 1ga's didnt post exactly what they had to do/get.

Thanks in advance!

I placed my first order. However, the shipping address on my paypal account is wrong. I sent you an email with the correct address.

The problem I have is that my fog lights are 881 bulbs. I don't see that in your list. Do you sell an 881 kit or do I have to find something else.

Oh, also because the order is so big, I'll miss the sale. But not much of a biggie, since I am in Afghanistan and I won't be able to back home until the end of October for R&R to install them. I can order it next month, maybe in two separate orders. If need be. My wife will keep them nice and safe until I return.
Thank you for your order! The 881 bulbs are the same as our 880 bulbs.

This is pretty typical of the HIDs to do that. Nothing really to worry about. A battery harness may stop it though.

You cannot use an HID kit without doing the H4 conversion. After the conversion is done, then you can order any h4 HID kit you want. You dont HAVE to do the duel beam. The single beam will do. Even doing the H4 conversion is a HUGE difference over stock. Do that first and if its still not bright enough then think about HID's.

The few second flicker/SHHH sound is typical for any HID setup.

I just finished installing the 6000k 35watt kit in my 2gb lights. Pretty easy install, only hard part was figuring out that I needed to switch the polarity. I just pulled the wires out of the connector in the headlight and swapped them around, took another 2 minutes.

I'm about to go get some pictures of the cutoff/color, I'll edit this post in an hour or so

You are correct. 9006 for the low and 9005 for the highs.

I already answered this for you Danny. You need to pick up some H4 headlight housings and the wire harness that you use to do the conversion.

I posted a link to a nother thread where somebody takes 4x6, etc housings. And retrofits them for like 200 bux. Just need the ballast and bulbs. He just does retrofitting.

Bigglesworth seems to have this covered. You do need to find a headlight that takes a replaceable bulb. As to where the other forum members are the experts with that and will have the most experience with different products.
