SBR Shop Cars Coming out of Hiding!!! RWD 1g and Rally Car!!
Well for starters
This Sunday in the finale of the summer X-Games, Keep an eye out for ACP in the SBR Evolution 9 as we try to take home a gold in the X-Games Rally.
If you guys recall last year, we might have shorted a jump and taken out the rear end of the car
This, year we come with a new outlook, and a new lead sponsor! Judging by the picture below, my guess is that you guys will be able to figure it out!!
But Sunday on ABC, make sure you are watching. We also have one of our Subaru motors that was built here at the X-Games - I will let you guys know how that goes as well.

And now something that might spark you guys interest a little bit more.
The RWD 1g, known as "Black Betty," will be coming out of hiding very shortly. The car has sat for almost a couple of years now, and we figured that we are done waiting.
We have bought a new turbo for the car, and switched to an automatic transmission. The car weighs in at only about 1900lbs and change, so we figure that it should be making in the area of 800whp or so
Mid 7 second pass is the goal
Nate and his guys down at TPG Tuning were so graceful as to do the work for us down in their shop. So if any of you guys down in Morgantown area near WVU want to go see a 1000hp RWD 1g and a 1000hp AWD 2g right next to each other (along with 3 evo 9s and a turbo 350z - which are the cars they drive!)- their shop is the place to be!!! Hopefully we will see Nate screaming down the track in this car before the end of the summer
AAAAND for those of you going to the shootout - you may happen to see it.

GT4202R
Custom 9" Rear End and custom driveshaft done by Mark Williams
Intake manifold is being finished up as we speak (we sold the old one we had), the transmission/torque converter is on the way. Turbo got here the other day. Now the TPG guys just need to fit it into their busy schedule of getting their own drag car ready for the shootout and all of their customers (on top of doing all of our tuning)

Ha speaking of play - I had never seen the parachute deploy. So we obviously decided to stuff it as full as we could possibly get it with shop towels. And then boom - they shot halfway across the shop!!

Now, what happened to you guys doing your own work and your own tuning? This is the same SBR that has done all these major DSM stuff right? I remember on some forums, even DSMLink forums, that you guys got called out... Not to cut open sore wounds, I am just trying to remember what happened... Anyway, I would like to know what happened with your guys being a vendor and a custom shop? Since you guys are coming out of hiding and are exposing yourselves again... Not to sound rude either...

I dont totally understand what you are saying, but hopefully some of this makes sense!
Nate used to work here, and has always been good friends with us. He went and opened up his shop but still does our tuning - that should make sense.
As far as our own work, we have a full service machine shop and do all the machining to our motors/heads/welding, etc - I think we are one of the few shops that doesnt outsource machine work for motor builds.
We do install work here and stuff as well - we dont build our own RWD rear ends or driveshafts for RWD DSMs if that is what you are asking lol, but I think that kind of explains itself. We have been swamped in the shop with installs and motor builds so Nate and his guys offered his help to put the drag car back together (much to our delight, because we dont have the manpower to do it right now) - and that is something we definately could not pass up on!
Our rally car was 100% built in house. Bought brand new from the dealership, 3 days later it was down to bare chassis getting ready for a cage etc That car was 100% built by us and it FOR SURE was 100% paid for by us, just ask Mike about that one!!
Hopefully that clears some stuff up.

By the way Jeff, thank you so much for the deal on the 50 trim. I'm cradling it right now like it's my own first born son. I absolutely love it.
