Here is some information on this turbo:
THIS IS NOT A CHINESE EVO3GT, so please stop emailing us asking if it is the Chinese one, it is not.
The EVO3 Big 16G features a slightly larger compressor wheel than the previous Big 16G. It also uses an improved turbine housing design, which offers better boost control, direct fitment with the EVO3 O2 housing, and weighs in 2.75 lbs lighter than the old style 7cm housings.

I would imagine the only difference between the MHI evo III 16g and the FP evo III 16g would be that you are buying from the most reputible store in turbocharger history. Seriously, I love the fact that you never hear these guys bs around on the forums. For the most part, the vendors who post the most on the forums are the ones who are insecure about their share in the market and aren't offering anything special over any of the other guys. People like FP, who stick to the super informative threads (that sticky turbocharger thread), questions about their products threads, and group buys are the ones who are the best to deal with. They don't lie or try and cheat you about their products.
FP spends all their time in R&D anyways, so they don't have time for posts in the threads, 
now if I could just get them to give me some compressor flow maps for the new HTA turbochargers,... |

These are MHI E316g turbos, 49178-01470, not a FP version with any special FP features just sold by FP
