The Jeff Bush/ETS/English Racing Show/Drag 42R Beast On The Dyno!
Jeff's gorgeous purpose-built drag 1G, which looks more like a show-piece with polished ETS turbo kit and intercooler components throughout the engine bay and beatiful body and paint work, made its first dyno runs on the ETS Dynojet yesterday With a relatively conservative timing setup and 38psi it made 819whp on the first day out The goal is 8s but Jeff has to get used to this all-new from the ground up setup on the track and will be making some shakedown passes at this power level before cranking her up!
Kick ass car though. Any reason for putting the BOV off on a leg like that?
They are the Motegi Trak Lites (thanks Jay!). The BOV is on a leg as parallel as possible to the airflow headed at the valve inlet for the smoothest path and most complete charge air discharge.

They're shifting at 9k RPM and you're right, it's got well more powerband in it. This initial tune is aimed at some good shakedown passes this weekend before the wick is turned up
The tires are only close when on the dyno. Ets's dyno is 8"'s above the floor so when you tye it down it pulls the car down lower. On my first shakedown passes we ran 1.4 60ft 6.1 @ 121 1/8th and 9.4 @ 151 mph with only 37 psi. I definitely need more seat time but I'm getting the hang of her.
She's definitely leaving hard Jeff, some great driving!! The night passes with no lights would be seriously intimidating. Thanks for posting the video Mike!
