If you get a chance, go out to your car and see if the rear lower control arms on your car have a hole right in the middle of it for the sway bar end links to mount in.

Assuming you have the correct lower control arms, the only thing I can see you needing to install this sway bar would be the sway bar end-links and the two mounting brackets that go in the middle of the bar.

edit:

take a look at the picture below...

all you need is the mounting brackets (arrow on the left) and the sway bar end-links (arrow on the right). Of course, this is assuming your lower control arms have mounting points for the end-links.
I called mitsu there are def two diffrent control arms a front and the rear and both ae different betwee the NT and gst. #### it I just ordered the bar. I ca get the end links for 16 bucs each from work and I"m getting the prothane kit which I think includes rear sway bar link bushings anyway.

Those are the endlinks. You have a gst your car should have them already. They are cheap just find any place that sells Moog chasis pieces and they're part number is K80186. List is like 50 bucs I work for a wholesale parts company(South Jersey Auto Supply) we're like NAPA so I can get OEM stuff pretty cheap. The other part I bet that is in this install kit from talking to the dealer who we deal with also , is the front lower control arm which goes for like 48 bucs. So you figure 96 + 32 and your right about what this install kit goes for. That's why I said #### it and I'm just gonna order the kit from MACHV

Edit: By looking at the arm though couldn't you just drill a mounting whole for the other side of the end link and use the lower arm that came stock?

Thanks for all the install pics, everyone! Nice to hear these fit fine on the Spyder. (And the Galant!)

Our install kit for cars that didn't come with a rear bar DOES include new rear lower control arms. The only difference in the control arms is...the mounting hole. So yes, you could just drill your own hole. For some people this is a concern because a) the arm is very hard and it's a pain to drill, and b) they're worried they'll get the hole on the wrong spot. So we just include the arms in the kit to make it easy.

Someone asked if we still have stock on the rear sway bars. The answer is yes. Someone else asked how much for a front bar at a later time. I'll tell you that when I get more front bars in; we're pretty low right now.

I ordered mine today. The lower arms cost me $76 for both from the dealer. The Mounthing brackets cost $5 each and the Links cost me $32 for both. So that's $118 so 160 isn't bad considering. I think it's not worth making the whole in the wrong spot for how much the arms cost. I didn't feel like buying that much stuff for the front so instead I just ordered a tanabe front under brace instead .

Here is everything you need to install a sway bar on a car that did not come with one stock.

1 Right Rear right lower crontrol arm(the dealer calls them front and rear it's the front lower in that case the one without ball joint) $38-$49

1 Left Rear lower control arm $38-$49

2 swat bar mounting plates $5-$10

2 sway bar endlinks $32-$98(this is where it's good to know someone or shop around)

total: $113-$206 So obviously if you can't find endlinks at a good price it's better to just get the kit from MACHV but if you go to a nappa or something or a cough cough South Jersey Auto SUpply you can save about $50.

Not sure whether I should really laugh out loud and point, or shake my head and whap it against a wall. At least you got some new end links, instead of tinkering with the old rusted ones.

Well everyone was like if your car didn't come with sway bars and what not. I ASS U MEd that the GS was the model to not have them as all the gst and gsx guys have them an spyder guys had them so I mean what model(s) were left. BUt I guess it was just the RS because I hve both front and rear or maybe it's specific with each model but anyway I"m just gonna use everythin cause new stuff is never a bad thing and it looks easier to just install the links on the lower arm and replace the whole unit anyway. People know what they need now too if they don't have it so helping out the comunity is worth a little extra cash anyway

It was an option on the GS model. I thought you checked.. heck, I told you to go check if you're lower control arms had the mounting points for the end-links. If you would of done that you would of seen the bar. Oh well, we live and learn I guess.. I'm just bummed for you that you spent money you didn't need to.

I can return the arms but I thought it might be easier to just take the whole arm off and replace the arm and the lins together instead of messing with the old link bolts that everyone is stripping. I tech can unbolt the bar from the mounting plates and both arms and the whole unit will come off and just put the new stuff on al together.

taking it all off at once is easy, puting it all on already assembled is another story. you fight with the bar trying to line it up right and not it the the bar on everything.

i would just save the money and return what you don't need.

I cant use the lube that the bar comes with bar to lube up the bushing on the inside mount the lower arms with the links installed and the bar to endlink nut not tightened than slide the mounting plate to the right place bolt it up then tighten the end link to bar nut?

Either way like you said I would replace the endlinks and my mounting plate(you can see the rust in the pic) so it's really just the arms but that is still $76
