Wilwood kits
I wanted to let you all know that I did a quick test fit on the Wilwood factory DynaPro caliper kit sold for the 2G car and it does in fact fit the 1G as most here would suspect.
While it's not terribly different from the TCE 12.2" kits (FSL vs DP calipers) the base price is significantly less. Even adding the preferred heavy duty GT rotor to it you're dollars ahead over my own 'in house' produced kit. Why? No, I have not been gouging everyone, I just cannot compete with my own supplier and I also chose to do a different caliper, pads and hat then you'll get with the factory kit.
That being said...the kit is what many of you would classify as a "mid grade" up grade due to its smaller caliper and narrow rotor. However don't overlook this piece for a DD where it will outshine the normal 2G factory parts. I also have a limited supply of both Poly D and H for those looking for specific needs.
Calipers can be had both booted and not (street vs race) with standard or GT (non directional or DV) rotors and even drilled and slotted for the bling guys. If you're interested give me a shout and I'll hook you up. See the Wilwood pdf for wheel clearance requirements.

For those who did not get the first PM, the GT rotor substitute is $100 per kit as is the drilled and slotted option.
I don't include shipping until you call to place the order. Prices vary weekly with fuel costs.
Have a good night all.

I've ran my factory Wilwood kit, that I got from Todd for the past two summers & can say, for the price this is an excellent kit! I went with the upgraded "GT" directionally vented rotors & can say, while I don't road race/auto-x, these brakes are more then you should ever need on a "street" car even with pretty spirited driving as you can fairly easily out brake street rubber. I can say I have never once experienced any brake fade with this setup, even with several high speed stops in a row, something you defently can't say with the stock fwd setup (actually, I would be scared to try & do this with the stock setup). For the price, I don't think this setup can be beat & Todd has been excellent to deal with
Edit: If you want to see what this setup looks like mounted under 18" rims, there's a pic in my gallery.

Thanks for the Daren, I agree; while its not the hard core open track package some may need it's a very well thought out and packaged deal. And for the money would be hard to overlook. Options- booted or stainless, red or black, three rotor finishes; plain, GT or drilled/slotted there's something for everyone here.
For those who do AutoX you'd do well to consider the limited number of Poly D compound pads I now have for this. Low temp, medium Cf is key. For moderate open track day use the B compound is very popular an not too hard on rotors.
*Sorry if I missed anyone but I think I've gotten all the pm's out to this point.

Just to clarify, they state this is a 12.19" rotor and 4 piston caliper as opposed to the normal 12.2x.81/1.10 and 13.0x.81/1.10 kits you sell with 4 piston calipers. I'm assuming this is the 12.2x.81 caliper you use in your standard kit then just paired with a different and cheaper caliper?
