For a 16G turbo, I wouldn't recommend a BC0101 272/272 cam combo; they're a little too aggressive, and will move the engine's powerband higher and out of the useable range of a 16G. Look for a 264/264 or, at the very most, a 264/272 setup for your car if you plan on keeping that turbo. Maybe 272's would be great if you're running super-high boost, but most 16G owners never exceed 18psi.
I'm installing Crower 64413-2's on the AWD I'm building....the BC0101's were bought last fall in favor of my buddy's '95 TSi AWD. At the time he was running a TD05H 20G but has now switched to an FP Green. With the 20G running around 22psi on the stock cams, the car wouldn't pull notably hard to redline. It was better than with the previous 16G, but not the full potential of a 20G. The BC0101's made the car COME TO LIFE on top.....it's like a completely different car! The tradeoff, however, was a bit of off-boost torque and added lag while driving in traffic. It's almost as if the car needs a downshift to get the boost to build as fast as it did before with the stock cams....you can't just drive around off-boost and expect to push the pedal down and build quick boost. Once the boost builds, though....buckle your seatbelt! It added a nice, aggressive idle, too!
I would highly recommend BC0101's for anyone running a turbo equal to (or bigger than) a 20G.
