Wow sounds sexy. In comparison between the two, the Q definitely has a more crisp, sharper sound.

Nope. That's what the "Alpha Q Recirculating Blow-Off-Valve" is for.

Obviously not. It consumes the full meaning of "blow off" valve. It's not a recirculation valve (not without some custom modification).
EDIT: Damn you, Eric.

Sorry it wasn't glaringly obvious to me. The term "blow off valve" is so commonly used these days to encompass both diverter/recirculation valves and compressor bypass valves that is not always clear which is being discussed. Not to mention that picture is so close up I can't tell if there is an outlet flange on the valve or not.

As far as I know they aren't out yet. But Tial's website hasn't even been updated to reflect that the Q has been released.
Here's a good size comparison picture I found.
Alpha Q -- Old Tial -- Q

Every one of these types of valves (regardless of what acronym you choose to give them) are compressor bypass valves. Some of these are technically blow-off valves. Some of these are technically recirculation valves (although, all recirculation valves can be utilized as blow-off valves).
Just watch the first video. You'll see that this new BOV from TiAL is much like their other BOV designs in the past, which does not allow for recirculation back into the intake tract without custom modification.

Sorry, but you already missed the sale on the older BOVs. They have since sold out already and we will not be stocking anymore of them. However, the extra money spent on the new unit is WELL worth it. It's harder to appreciate the new design unless you compare the two side by side just to see the improvements over the old design (not that it was a slouch of any sort, but all the revisions simply make the new design better.)

When mounted in the traditional fashion of a standard BOV (sorry anthony, I like calling them BOV's ); could you imagine the hectic routing you'd have to rig to get the recirc pipe to fit ? It looks really interesting, though. Perhaps I'll switch one of these days.

I was thinking that too. Especially with the size of it. It's BIG. Really would have to be mounted on the side of the IC pipe otherwise it would stick through the hood, ( ) or at least the recirculating pipe would.
I'd love to try it. I am cutting off the flange on my piping this week and welding a new one. I'd rock this tial valve (which is awesome BTW), but I run the MAF. This is a vendor thread, so I'll stop the clutter.
extremepsi: If the Tial recirculating valve is ever for sale, please let us know.

Ok, you see this on your friends counter. Smoking device or car part...
http://www.tialmedia.com/NH/alphaq1.jpg
That's interesting because I was thinking earlier "you'd have to encapsulate the whole friggan thing to recirculate it." Does it still flow 40% more with the box around it? Is the 40% more because it's a 50mm valve vs. the rest of them that are not that giant?
