Forced Performance Aluminum Intake Pipe Group Buy
We are now offering our Forced Performance Aluminum Intake pipe at as a special group buy offer while supplies last!
The FP Cast aluminum intake pipe has an oval upper end that perfectly matches the shape of the factory 2G air flow meter. This shape coincidentally has a the same circumference as a 4" diameter tube, allowing standard after market 4" cone filters to attach directly to the tube in applications where the 2G flow meter is not used, such as in VPC or stand alone fuel system like Haltec or AEM. The lower end is 4" diameter round shape to match the larger inlets found in the higher HP turbochargers. Available with or without flange for BOV Recirculating tube.
This pipe can also be used for 1G applications where no MAF or MAS is used, instead simply fit the 4" diameter air filter directly to the air tube inlet. Unfortunately there is not enough room between the turbo and the fenderwell in the 1G to fit a MAS and a filter, so no soup for guys without VPC or stand alone.
Sexy FP logo is cast into the front side of the tube so everyone knows you don't fool around.
This group buy will consist of an intake pipe, 2 Zebra Clamps and a 4" straight silicone coupler. You will have your choice of purchasing a recirculated or non-recirculated intake pipe, pricing is as follows for the group buy (shipping is not included):
Non-Recirculated Intake Pipe Kit - $69.00
Recirculated Intake Pipe Kit - $94.00
We also have several silicone couplers for the turbo side of the intake pipe available, pricing is as follows for them:
4" Straight - $9.00
4" - 3" Reducer Coupler - $18.00
4" - 2.25" Reducer Coupler - $36.00
Please contact Aniel to place your order!

Shipping is not included in the group buy price.

So what your saying is for a 1g, you just need to have it in blow through setup?

Yea, you'd have to do a blow thru setup or use a 2g MAS.

As Robert mentioned above, with the 1Gs there is not enough room in the fenderwell for the MAS (1G/2G) + airfilter. On my 1990 w/ 2G MAS I had ~2" clearance with the pipe to my headlight motor assembly so could not use. With a GM MAFT in blow thru, VPC or MAP-based standalone, will have ample room for the pipe+filter.

No. Because it still uses your stock MAS. You have to have blow thru setup(so its not before your turbo), or a VPC, or Map stand alone(no mas required). Pretty much anyway to make it work so there is only the pipe/filter before your turbo, because thats all that will fit.

You sure about that?
This is from a member on dsmlink(vgknight) using that filter I posted up earlier with his fp intake
am using a ractive filter with the 4bolts to bolt direclty to the maf... no adapter.... and fp 4in couplers for the maf to intake and intake to turbo...
fits perfect not tight....
And here is a pic so I don't know why fp told you that but it works

I bought one several years ago and it didn't fit as I said. I had a MAS adaper for the airfilter but that was no more than 1/2" difference. I did not try to screw the filter to the MAF though nor did I want to buy some crappy short airfilter. Was a beautiful part though and I tried like hell to make it work

That's the thing you can't use a maf adapter and you have to use a short airfilter. It's just an option for people wanting to use a FP intake on there 1g with a maf. I used it on mine and I had no issues with the filter. Like I said just another option if you choose to,

hey quick Q&A. I currently have a dejon 3" intake for my 20g, I'm upgrading to a fp3065 soon, I have the 9" filter with 4" inlet, Their is an adaptor which is like 3" long from, THAT is a tight squeeze, I have to take it apart in a certain order to get the intake off. If I get the fp intake will i fit? I know its a broad question but any info will be helpful.
Forced Performance: K&N Cone Filter
its the same filter they have listed here. 9"

You can use an adapter plate just as an FYI. Ignore the mess It's been cleaned up since that pic (Everything was installed to test fit it all)
