That is a coated manifold.

We will be trying to get a couple pictures today of a coated and non-coated next to each other for comparison. The coated is a really light gold/silver look to it where as the non-coated is a dark gray. If we can get these pictures, we will post them up for everyone to view.

For those getting the coated manifold, you will notice it going through a rainbow effect as it heat cycles the first few times. It will eventually darken to a dark bronze color.

Oh boy if the manufacturer can't even tell the difference, how are we supposed too

Yours looked to be on the dark side, compared to what I would have expected the coated version to look like (really light silver/gold), like Robert mentioned.

Here’s the tale of my experience as well…

Saw the Group Buy thread for the first time last Friday morning and sent an email Friday afternoon for a quote. Monday morning, I received a call from Aniel and placed my order. After lunch, I received a tracking number and today after lunch, I received a sweet FP Race Manifold with all the hardware I ordered to go with it. THANKS AGAIN FORCED PERFORMANCE! Now if you guys would host another FP Shootout like you did four years ago…hehe.

Holy crap, FP rules. So After I get out of work I call Aniel from my truck and place my order. I get put on hold for 5 seconds and what do I hear? Modern music. No crappy elevator music, I think it was Beck, which wouldn't be my first choice but good non the less. So I place my order, drive all of 15-20 minutes home and check my email to see a tracking number. Looking forward to the manifold. I've seen many of their turbo's and am looking forward to picking up something bigger come spring.

Thanks guys!!

That most definitely is a coated manifold. Perhaps you got the benefit of a screwup

I emailed Aniel today. I wish we could get a nice group buy going on the 4" intakes as well. Waiting to hear back from FP.

My experience with this group buy...
Emailed yesterday, got the call today at about 4pm...had a tracking number when I got home from work. Will have the manifold tomorrow. Now I'm a little disappointed.

I have to wait till next week for my JMF heat shield.

Thanks to the FP gang!

I must have called back when Aniel was in the crapper. Now I know that they're open until 6pm central though!

I stand corrected! It really can be hard to tell using flash photography!

No, he is correct, it is an uncoated manifold.

Another side note, Please check the tag on the outside of your manifold box. It will tell you whether the manifold is coated or not. If the manifold is uncoated, it will have the following designation:

Coating: Standard
It should also be wrapped inside a plastic bag between the layers of foam.

If the manifold is coated, the tag will say:

Coating: Reflective Nickel
The manifold will NOT be bagged between the layers of foam for the coated guys.

Keep 'em coming guys! We still have plenty left!

Just recieved my fp manifold today at 2pm. Got the coated one. Coated one looks light silver color with a faint tint of yellowish color. The non coated on is of a much darker color. There is no mistaken.
Anyhow, Thanks FP. You
