Ummmmm? In the first post it says to email and you will get a call back. Also WHO would expect to get a phone call from a company on the weekend? You can't possibly expect a company like this to work 7 days a week, it isn't a grocery store people.

I know you guys are all anxious to hop on the group buy, but i'm sure FP is well aware that there are emails out that need to be replied to. Be patient!

Are anyone else experiencing rust or the coating coming off since they've purchased their products?

The main issues with rusting/flaking were from FP's older coatings (the black one). Ever since GB#2, there have been no reported problems with rusting/flaking with the new bronze coating. Hell, I even had the radiator explode during a WOT run and threw gobs of coolant all over the manifold. This thing is bullet-proof.

+1, but they won't. The FP race manifold was designed specifically to compliement the FP turbine housings.

blckspoOln, it looks like you used red hi-temp Silicon on all your turbo and exaust connections. Did that work? Do you use a steel gasket along with the silicon? I'm suprised that it does not burn or melt away. Will this manifold help a 16g?
Thanks,
Brent W.

i currently have a POS sbr cast manifold.
one of the problems i've had with it is tht they made the headside flange significantly thicker than the stock flange in an effort to help pull compressor housings away from the waterpipe,
but in that effort, it has caused many snapped exhuast headstuds, i guess cause it stretches them tooo far when the manifold heats up.
is your flange thicker than stock?

with this manifold do you have to port match the gasket like the 2G manifold or are the runners already the same size?

I don't believe the FP head flange is thicker then the stocker like the SBR but the thicker head flange should have nothing to do with snapping exhaust head studs. Your studs were probably either too old or you torqued them too much. I too ran a SBR exhaust mani (for 2 summers & then used the cracked POS as a door stop) & never had an issue with the head studs, nor did any people I know who ran it.

No porting of this manifold should be required, you can just bolt it right up, as is.
Since I didn't get a reply first time, I'll try again. Robert do you have any logged data or dyno pulls with your race mani vs an OEM style mani? I'm sure there are lots of potential buyers who would like to se this.

Thanks for following up on this. I wasn’t on board to see the earlier Group Buys, and I would think FP would resolve the issue in a good manner before offering another Group Buy. I’m looking forward to receiving a response, as well as others who are anxious on this thread. On a side note, I can’t imagine humidity being a factor on a coating on an exhaust manifold. If so, I’m screwed because I live in the Sunshine State where the humidity is very high year-round.

UPDATE! Not only did I get a response back from my email on Friday afternoon, but I received a phone call from Amiel at FP. I placed my order and to answer everyone's question, the Group Buy IS active at $175. He said they have a larger volume of emails to respond to. The coating issue had been resolved and that they would warranty your part if anything goes wrong. They actually still had my name in the system from when I purchased my EVOIII Big 16G from them four years ago.

ANOTHER UPDATE! I just got my tracking confirmation from FP and it will be here this Thursday! That's regular ground shipping from Texas to Florida! Forced Performance hasn't let me down yet!

Wow I need to come up with some funds to purchase this. My only question is it sounds like this header gets hotter than the other style mani's Why do you guys think that is. Just cause my evogt mani does not have the coating on it and it does not seem terribly bad.

I know they have many inquiries, but also have a good deal of these in stock to sell. Just got the call today, and Ill be getting mine Friday. The bad thing is that I leave to the middle east on a deployment before that, so I won't get to see the manifold until July/August!!!! : (
