Forced Performance FP3150 Package Group Buy
We are currently offering a special group buy price on our FP3150 Turbocharger package to the first 20 customers! This turbo package is the same turbocharger set up we have recently sponsored for DSM Tuner website owner Ludachris. I'm sure he will chime in with his thoughts on this setup.
This package will include the following components:
FP3150 Turbocharger
TiAL 44mm Wastegate
FP 2.5" O2 Housing w/ Dump Tube
SS Oil Feed line
FP Inline Oil Filter
Oil Drain Tube
Gaskets
Water Fittings
This complete package can be purchased for the low low group buy price of $2055 shipped! That is over $250 off the retail price for this package turbo. The GB turbo package is sold as is, NO SUBSTITUTIONS.
To place an order, email all your personal info to amber@forcedperformance.net . She will need your name, address and phone number to write an order up in the system. She will call you to collect CC information. Payment for the GB will be made when the part order is placed.
The FP3150 Turbocharger:

I've read Luda's reviews, but could you post a compressor map and other important information about this turbocharger for all to reference? thanks!

I'll dig up a map for the T04E 50 trim compressor (448048-4) and post it for grins, but it is plastered in about a gazillion spots on the web
The one I'll post will have all the eff lines and rpm lines, but give me till monday evening to scan it.

I agree.
Don't get me wrong i have a FP turbo (Green) and love it, but unless the cost of this turbo is a lot less then the 3052, why bother?
The flow maps might shut me up.
Also, the V Band stuff is F_ing sweet, but is there any possibility you guys could make it available in normal mitsu exhaust housings? I know a lot of people that are steering away from those turbos and going to PTE because of extra cost associated with V Band. It does flow more, but is it worth the extra cash?
Sorry if i'm not being the most positive person here, these are just some questions i've always wanted to ask.
In the end Forced performance is still the best

By putting it into a mitsu housing what would they have vs all the other bb 50trim's out there? This should outperform any of the others that are stuffed into a mitsu housing, although i do agree its a hefty price for a 50trim.

Guys you are not just buying a 50trim turbo only you are getting --->
This package will include the following components:
FP3150 Turbocharger $1,399.00
TiAL 44mm Wastegate $359.00
FP 2.5" O2 Housing w/ Dump Tube $275.00
SS Oil Feed line $65.00
FP Inline Oil Filter $69.95
Oil Drain Tube $55.00
Gaskets $ 30.00
Water Fittings $26.00
Just the prices I added have a total of $2,278.95 your saving $223.95 in the end
The FP green alone will cost you $1300 and thats for a non ball bearing turbo
My only question is how long will the people that get in on this group buy have to wait to get their Items ...is it going to be a long wait such as was on the FP race manifolds ??

I should have payed more attention hehe... I though that price was just for the turbo and that's why I was a bit confused. That sounds like a better deal then.

For others interested, I spoke with Amber on the phone just now about the buy and seems they won't allow substitutions. I was interested in their 3" o2 housing or at least an o2 housing with wastegate recirculation, but she said I couldn't do it. Sucks, as I was waiting on this turbo and really wanted to take advantage of these great savings
Robert any chance you can help out on that so I can get in on the group buy?

I don't know how flexible he'll be on this, as he mentioned that in his original post in this thread (said no substitutions).

Aw I should learn to read Nice big capital letters too doh! I just got all excited that the turbo was finally available AND at a savings over the 3052 I had decided to get since I'd given up waiting on this 3150.

If it's a T04E compressor housing I thik they are all 3inch inlet , wheel size is a 50trim , spool time should be mid 3K range , HP potentials of a 50trim such as their FP green are capable of 450whp !
It's a awsome pump gas turbo (91-93 octane)
This is all FP has on their site about it http://store.forcedperformance.net/m..._Code=Turbo-FP
... And I think they should put more info up about it

thanks for that info. Now another question is how would this turbo compare to the FP Red? How fast does the Red spool on a built 2.0 with 8.5-1 compression? Can the red be a street driven turbo? thanks all for your help.

If you want a recirculated housing you can always do what I did/others do, buy their external dump setup & just take the installed setup to your local custom exhaust shop & have them cut a hole in the downpipe & weld in a piece to recirculate the dump. IMO this is better then a recirculated O2 housing for a couple reasons. First the FP recirculated housing won't fit with a stock AC fan (according to a local member with the setup), second you can play around with the dump tube angle to get the most clearance for your setup & also with the dump tube recirculated further down in the downpipe, it doesn't create turbulance right after the turbine wheel, like a recirculated O2 housing does.

Compared to the FP red, this turbo would be much quicker spooling. Depending on mods I would expect a 3500-4000 spool on a 2L for this turbo while the red would be much higher. IIRC a local member running a red with 9-1 comp hit full boost ~5500 rpms.

A red with a 7cm housing can get full spool by 4500rpms, some locals report even sooner and closer to 4k rpms on a 2.0L with 9.0:1 compression.

What is a stage3 50 trim?
Guess I have been at this tooooo long. A stage 3 50trim describes a T3/T4E hybird that uses the "50 Trim" Garrett Compressor wheel and a T31 or "stage 3" turbine wheel. This has been by far the best selling T3/T4E combo ever.
The 50 trim compressor is the compressor from the very popular FPGreen model and will flow around 49lb/min when maxed out. The cover is 3" in and 2" out. It is generally regarded as the Garrett compressor | |
