If you guys hook a boost only source to the lower nipple of the bov it will help greatly with the flutter. Even with my real Type-S it likes to flutter here in the midwest. Had no problems on the westsiiiide though. Just from the different elevations I guess. I hooked my lower nipple up to the J-pipe and it works flawlessly now at any throttle/boost level.

Well I finally got my FMIC on but not without taking casualties as well. Let's just say I cut up the bumper like a delinquent, kicked my car several times, literally grabbed my bumper and chokeslammed it, to the point I didn't care anymore and just bolted everything in. It looks like shit but it's on. If I knew PR's FMIC would be this frustrating, I would of saved up and bought an ETS.

Yes it will, you might need to trim the mouth a little bit.

That's strange. It seemed like the the 2gb Eclipse bumper fit like a glove. I though it was just the 2ga's that had to cut up the bumper like crazy. I had to end up taking a lot out of mine. I had to take my bumper back off quite a few times before I finally got it where it needed to be. Just work on it a little more tomorrow.

From the looks of it the 2gb Talon bumper will probably fit with the kit better than any of the other bumpers. I have not seen one yet though.

The vr-speed fmic kit is cheaper and is a bang for the buck. Also can't complain with less piping and an easy install.
The pr kit isn;t bad though, i guess it's all just personal preference.

Don't you still have to cut through the frame next to the radiator or was this eliminated with the revision?

It's just the radiator support, it has nothing to do with the frame, but yes, cutting/grinding is required but it's cake.

Also, if you need the j-pipe it will cost you $50 with the VR kit. This puts it at $10 more than the PR kit which already includes the j-pipe. So for many the price will be about the same.

Yea, when I did my review on the OBX/Apex'i knockoff FMIC kit, they have the same t-bolt clamps included. And in my review I note how the SSAC kit t-bolts are much more superior.

And when I first saw pics of this kit, I noticed it used the same inferior T-bolt clamps.

Just be careful and not over do them and they will be fine, but if you get your hands on the clamps that come with the VR Speed/SSAC kit, you will notice right away how much better they are, but again that is not to say these are bad if handled with care.

They will get the job done. You just have to be real careful not to over tighten them. I had one one break on me and ordered a some Vibrant t-bolt clamps, so now I have extra.

Of course, if you have slim fans you most likely will not have a problem.
I did not get that extra long pipe that you had leftover. Hmmmm weird.

No, where the air vent for the SMIC, it has to be cut for the piping on the foglight side, on both sides of the bumper cover. The mouth has to be trimmed down for the core, and the bottom of the bottom either has to have the metal brace removed and manhandle it on there almost like a 2nd support for the fmic.

Does anyone have a pic of the extra piece for the downward facing turbos? I plan to go 50 trim and I think it would fit fine, but I didn't get any extra pipes.

Just to give everyone a heads up, there will be a price increase coming on the 2g fmic kits. We have been running the intro price for almost 5 months now and have to raise the price up to the regular pricing.

Dude, how did you not find your answers? Did you not see any of my pictures or others? If you need more pics I'll be glad to send you more

go back to page 7 and look at my car, looks great and fit fine....a lot of time was spent taking the bumper on and off the car if you want it perfect like myself.....there is cutting involoved but what do you expect with any FMIC?

Everyone curious on this kit just needs to read clearly or just ask someone that has already had a decent experience installing it . It was kind of a pain but worked fine.

no matter how i twist or what i do, the A/T trans push's the pipe up where you cant get to it. so this kit is useless to us a/t guys unless you can get the pipe cut up. I should of got the ETS kit.
